Meditation Timer OnlineAshtanga Yoga is a dynamic yoga which synchronizes the breath with a series of postures. Popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois during the 20th century, it is considered a modern-day form of classical Indian yoga. A focus on breathing techniques (Ujjayi Pranayama), postures (asanas), and a gazing point (driste), helps to control our senses and gain self-awareness. It is traditionally taught in the style of Mysore where students learn a series of poses and practice at their own pace.
