Release It To The Ocean
Release it to the ocean. The weight that you have been carrying has been held on to long enough. It's time to release it, it's time to give it to the ocean. Follow along with me as your guide as we made the journey to release and let go of what is not longer serving you.

Hello and welcome.
My name is Tracy Seawright and today I will be your guide as we go on a journey along for this releasing meditation of Give It to the Ocean.
For this releasing meditation,
I invite you to find a comfortable spot somewhere that you can be undisturbed,
Somewhere that is quiet.
And when you find that spot,
Begin to gather any props or items of support that you will need in this moment.
Whether it is a blanket to keep warm,
A pillow for under your head,
Or something to put over your eyes.
Find quiet,
Find stillness.
Take this moment and begin to settle yourself,
Making any final adjustments as we begin our practice.
So wherever you are,
Begin to allow gravity to take over.
Begin to release that control.
Unhinge your jaw,
Soften your eyes,
Relax your neck,
And allow your shoulder blades to sink in.
If you choose to in this moment,
Drape a blanket over you or have it nearby just in case.
Now as you get to marinate in this coziness,
Focus on your breath.
Beginning to inhale and deeply exhale.
Exhaling deeply and exhaling with a deep sigh.
If you feel that you need one more deep inhalation and deep exhalation,
You may do it or you may also return to your own breath at your own pace.
So in this moment,
I ask you to close your eyes or to drape something over your eyes,
Whether it is an eye pillow,
Towel,
Or a small blanket.
And we will now begin with the breath.
Focusing on your breath,
The inhale and the exhale.
The rise and fall of your chest.
Feel with your own breath settling in.
Remember to relax those shoulders,
Soften your face.
Continue to breathe as you focus your awareness to the sounds in the space that you have chosen.
Become aware of the noise.
Do not label the sounds in the space that you are in.
Just be an observer,
A witness of the sound.
Listen.
Now extend your awareness beyond your space.
Listen closely as far as you can hear.
Listen to those sounds,
Whether it is beyond the four walls that you are in or the space you are outside.
Again,
Do not label.
Simply listen to those surroundings.
Now slowly you will hear a sound.
This sound may be familiar to you.
A sound perhaps you have not heard in a while.
It may be a sound you've never heard at all.
Listen to the sound.
You are the creator,
The designer of this space.
Imagine if you will the scene that matches this sound.
What do you see?
What do you feel?
What do you smell?
The place that you are at,
You hear the crashing of waves and you are standing,
Waiting calmly and peacefully.
And as you're standing there,
Beside you by your feet is a backpack and you are waiting.
And as you turn to look,
You see me.
Here I am.
I welcome you and we welcome each other as old friends.
I bring you comfort,
Trust and unconditional support.
And as we're standing there,
I notice by you on the ground your backpack.
Now this backpack can be any color or shape as it is yours.
You explained to me that you had to place this backpack down as you waited for me.
You tell me that the contents of this backpack were very heavy and you just needed a moment to pause and place it down while you waited.
I look down at the backpack,
Then I look up at you and I say,
I'm here now.
Just pick up your backpack and let's go.
Hesitant you do not pick the backpack up.
So I bend down and pick it up to hand it to you.
And as I hand it to you,
I ask you,
Why is this so heavy?
And as you take the backpack from me,
You tell me,
I have a lot on my mind.
Then I tell you,
It's time for us to walk.
Together we begin this journey.
We begin to take the walk and you need to know in this moment that you are never alone.
For on this journey,
I will continue to be with you.
We are walking together.
We continue following that sound,
The sound of the ocean.
As you continue to walk,
You take a few steps and you pause telling me you need to put down the backpack.
It's heavy and I see that you're struggling.
However,
I remind you that we don't have much further to go.
I ask you for help.
You let me know you've got it.
No worries.
Once again,
You pick up the backpack and continue and we continue on our journey together.
Continue to focus on your breath,
Inhaling and exhaling as you carry this backpack.
Each step you are taking,
This backpack becomes heavier and heavier.
Almost struggling to carry it,
You take a few more steps and pause,
Taking the backpack off and sitting it down on the dirt road we are walking.
You tell me you just need a short break.
However,
I remind you we just have a few more steps and to keep breathing.
Getting another deep breath in and a deep exhale out.
You pick up the backpack and we continue together.
As you continue breathing in and out at your own pace.
And as we walk,
I remind you again it's not much longer before you will not have to carry any of this weight.
However,
You know the backpack is still there,
Weighing you down with each step.
But you know,
If you keep moving,
Moving forward with each step closer and closer to the destination,
That this will soon be lightened.
So we walk closer and we hear the sounds.
The sound that's so familiar.
And as you walk the dirt road,
It now becomes sand.
Before us,
We see sand and the ocean.
Now remember,
You are the creator of this environment.
This could like look like any scene or a place that you have seen in a photograph or when you have been to before in your lifetime.
Go back to that feeling.
What does the temperature feel like?
What's the weather today?
What are the smells?
What sounds do you hear?
And when you look around,
How do you feel being here?
Does this place make you want to take your shoes off and fill the sand?
You choose this is your place.
So now you have the backpack on and we know our destination is just ahead.
So you don't mind the weight of the backpack.
As you know,
Carrying these things will come to an end.
We walk across the sand.
Closer and closer,
We find a section of rocks and boulders.
The waves are crashing against the rock and there is a sea of water sleeping.
And it's suddenly the waves begin to crash.
So you put the backpack down on the rock by your feet.
Looking at the water,
Waves crashing against the rocks.
You breathing in and out.
And in this moment now,
The right thing to do is to take that backpack and unzip it.
So you open it up,
Put your hand inside and you find you have been carrying the entire time was rocks.
The whole bag was filled with rocks.
So you begin to pull one of the rocks out and you hold it in your hand.
You begin to start wiping away the dirt that is on the rock and you hand it to me.
There's some writing on this rock.
Dusting it off a little bit to see the letter F.
Then suddenly seeing the letters F E A R.
Fear.
The word fear is on this rock.
I hand the rock back to you and you realize this is what you've been carrying on this journey this entire time.
Fear.
You have been carrying this for weeks,
Months,
Even decades.
And here it is in the backpack that you hold right in your hands.
Fear.
Taking an inhale and an exhale.
You know what the right thing to do is.
So taking your hand with the rock in it,
You extend it out and throw it into the water.
Let the crashing waves engulf it and observe.
Take it in and watch as it sinks down to the bottom of the ocean.
You no longer need to carry this rock,
This fear.
Throw that fear in and watch it sink away.
It will no longer weigh you down.
The fear is gone.
It is at the bottom of the ocean.
You're intrigued.
You go back and put your hand inside the backpack.
There is another rock.
You dust it off and the words imposter syndrome are on it.
This is what you've been carrying around for some time.
Days,
Seasons in your life where you feel you are not equipped or that you are an imposter,
That you're really not supposed to be somewhere or really aren't supposed to be doing something.
Now I remind you this is simply not true.
However it is something you have been carrying around for quite a long time and today it stops.
So you take that rock that says imposter and you throw it with open hands into the ocean and watch it sink down to the bottom of the ocean floor.
There your two rocks lighter going back into the backpack once more.
There are rocks and the words on it,
Doubt,
Anxiety.
You pick those up.
You have been carrying around these for too,
Too long and they no longer serve you.
So do not waste your time anymore.
You throw them in the ocean.
Rock after rock throwing into the ocean.
The bag is getting lighter and lighter and with a splash it goes the rocks as they float down down down to the ocean.
You are feeling the lightness,
The freeness of them being gone.
Back inside the bag another rock,
Shame,
Overthinking,
Failures,
Bad habits,
Insecurity,
Jealousy,
Revenge,
Hatred,
Rage.
These don't belong to be carried to you.
This is enough.
These rocks do not serve you.
Everything that you have done in your life so far has been done for wisdom,
For knowledge.
So whatever you are carrying and been carrying,
Whatever was done in the past except for the wisdom and learning from the experience has molded and shaped you today.
Do not carry these anymore.
Take those rocks,
Toss them into the ocean and let them float,
Float,
Float down.
They are no longer in your bag.
They are no longer to be carried.
You go back in and pick another rock.
However this rock is a little different from the others.
You realize this is the last rock that was at the bottom of your bag.
You wipe it off and there in the middle of the rock is a heart.
You look at it for a moment and smile.
This rock is for the unconditional love that you not only need,
It is the unconditional love you deserve.
This is the rock you will keep and carry with you.
Now this rock can be any shape,
Size,
Color.
It can even be shaped like a tired heart.
But this rock is for you.
You hold on to this.
This is the unconditional love,
Unconditional support that is all for you.
Those other rocks did not serve you well.
Those other rocks you do not need,
They simply were weighing you down and made it difficult for you to move ahead on your journey.
You have so much work to do.
So you need your load to be light.
So with this heart rock in your hand,
Gently place it back into your bag.
You pick up your backpack and you put it on your back.
Oh,
Just relish and how light this feels as you breathe in and out.
Deep inhale in,
Deep exhale out.
It's so light as a feather.
This can be carried with ease and grace.
It's effortless.
So as we stand there,
We say goodbye to our ocean and leaving behind all those rocks that you no longer need,
That no longer serve you.
And we begin to walk back on our journey.
Leaving those rocks behind.
So over the rocks,
Walking through the sand,
Breathing in and breathing out.
This weight off your body allows you to walk and it feels so good.
It feels so right.
So when we reach the end of the sand and we begin on the dirt road,
I lovingly say my goodbye to you and say a job well done and I'm proud of you and you watch me walk away.
As you continue breathing,
Inhale and exhale.
Feel this calm,
This peace,
This relax and feel the lightness.
Slowly coming back,
Begin to bring awareness to the sounds outside the space that you are in.
Listen carefully to those sounds,
But do not label them.
Now listen closely to the sounds in your room or the space that you are at.
No need to label,
Just witness.
Begin to bring awareness to your fingers and your toes.
Continue to focusing on your breath.
Continue to focusing on that heart shaped rock as it is a reminder of how much you are loved.
Now as you bring awareness to your breath,
You will have this feeling of lightness and feeling of ease.
Begin to open your eyes,
Bringing awareness to your space.
Out stretch your arms above your head and roll to the side of your choice.
Stay here and marinate on all of your hard work,
Your courage,
Your bravery and your commitment to letting go.
You can continue to stay here while you are invited to gently fall asleep or you can use your hands to push yourself upright with your head being the last and at this time we will end our practice.
But always remember the heart shaped rock of that unconditional love that will never leave you.
It has been an honor to guide you and I hope I have left you better than I found you.

The ocean has always been my place of peace & this was exactly what I needed. The feeling of freedom releasing the rocks & just keeping the unconditional love one was so powerful. Thank you.
