A short, soothing practice to activate your vagus nerve and bring your body back into calm. In just two minutes, you'll use breath and gentle humming to stimulate the vagus nerve - a key pathway for regulating stress and anxiety. This reset is perfect for moments of tension, overwhelm, or when you simply need to ground and soften. A reminded that with a single breath and sound, you can return to safety. Transcript

Welcome to this quick 2 minute vagus nerve reset.

Use it any time you feel anxious,

Tense or need to drop back into calm.

Find a comfortable seat,

Place one hand on your belly and one on your chest.

Take a slow inhale through your nose and sigh it out through your mouth.

Now we'll stimulate the vagus nerve with sound.

Take a deep breath in and on the exhale make a gentle humming sound.

Feel the vibration in your chest and belly.

Let's do that again.

Inhale deeply and hum it out.

One more round.

Inhale and hum letting your whole body soften as the vibration moves through you.

Now rest in silence for a moment.

Notice how your body feels,

Calmer or more grounded.

This was your quick vagus nerve reset.

Return to it any time you need to soften,

Regulate and come back to safety.

I loved the fact that the whole body is distracted and engaged. No worries. No anxiety. No fears. Just humming. It works it’s amazing. I just hum all day constantly because my life is a misery right now. It’s very hard and at the beginning of the week I wasn’t playing anymore. No more eating. I quit. My friends reminded me of their love of me and how important I was to them. And only because of them I am here. Because my family with whom I live and have volunteered to caregive for treat me like Shit/trash. Disposable. So here I hum all day long. Here I’ll hum for those who love outside of this house everyone else loves. But nobody loves me at home. :- Blessings to all on this journey. Warmly, Anne
