Welcome to this guided meditation for softening and restoring.
I am Ayel and I will be your guide today.
I invite you to find a comfortable position,
Allowing your body to settle into a soft and relaxed posture,
Either sitting up or lying down.
Now close your eyes gently and take a deep breath in,
Allowing the breath to fill your lungs and exhale slowly,
Releasing any tension.
Let's take a couple more together.
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
In through the nose and out through the mouth.
Now let your breathing return to its natural rhythm.
Notice the temperature of the air.
Notice if it is cooler as you breathe in and warmer as you breathe out.
Feel the support beneath you,
Grounding you in this present moment.
You are safe and you are loved.
Now bring your attention to the feelings and sensations in your body.
Notice how your body is feeling right now.
Perhaps there is some tension there,
Or some lingering feelings.
See if you can allow them to be whilst simply observing them.
Now imagine a warm,
Soft light surrounding you,
And as this light travels through your body it is softening all the tender and weary parts.
Start by bringing your attention to your toes.
Feel the gentle sensation,
Maybe some tingling,
As you allow any tension in your toes to dissolve.
Imagine that warm,
Soothing light enveloping your toes,
Bringing a sense of comfort and relaxation.
Now shift your awareness to your feet.
With each breath let go of any tightness or strain,
Allowing your feet to soften and release.
Picture a grounding energy flowing through the soles of your feet,
Connecting you to the supportive energy of the earth.
Now move your attention up your ankles and calves.
Breathe into these areas,
And release any lingering tension with each exhale,
Letting your lower legs soften and surrender to a state of ease.
Continue to your knees and thighs.
Sense the weight of your legs being supported by the surface beneath you.
Allow any stiffness to melt away.
Now focus on your pelvic area and hips.
Breathe deeply into this space,
Releasing any tightness.
Picture that soft,
Golden light spreading through your pelvic region,
Bringing warmth and restoration.
Move up to your lower back and abdomen.
Feel the breath expanding and contracting.
Release any holding,
Allowing a sense of lightness to permeate this area.
Now shift your attention to your chest and upper back.
With each breath feel the chest rising and falling effortlessly.
Release any tension around your heart,
Allowing it to open and receive the soft,
Healing energy that surrounds you.
Now feel as the light travels up to your shoulders and arms.
Let go of any weight you may be carrying on your shoulders.
Picture a gentle flow of energy moving down your arms,
Releasing any tightness.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Visualize that gentle stream of energy flowing through your body,
Reaching your face,
Softening the muscles around your neck and jaw,
The creases between your eyebrows,
Smoothening out the forehead.
And as the light reaches the crown of your head,
Visualize it cascading back down to the tips of your toes.
With each breath,
Sense this soothing energy,
Inviting relaxation and peace,
And holding you in its soft,
Warm light.
Now bring your awareness to any areas of tension.
As you exhale,
Imagine those tensions dissolving,
Like mist in the morning sun.
Feel your muscles softening.
Feel the softness of the present moment enveloping you.
You are a vessel of peace,
Anchored in the stillness that resides within.
Take a few more breaths,
Absorbing the tranquility that surrounds you.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Bringing the sense of softness and stillness with you into the rest of your day.
