Details

Nestled in the green hills of Piedmont, near the enchanting Lake Orta, this self-sufficient farm\cottage in Cellio offers a sacred space to disconnect from the noise of everyday life and reconnect deeply with yourself and nature. We live a life reminiscent of the old days, like on farms where people consume only what they produce, raising their own animals and growing their own vegetables." Simple and authentic life, like going back to the old days. Here, you will be gently supported and lovingly guided on your spiritual journey. Each morning begins with yoga and meditation, breathwork, and nature immersion to awaken the body and quiet the mind. You will enjoy nourishing, homegrown meals, lovingly prepared with fresh and healthy ingredients, self-produced! As true and authentic Italians we believe food is healing, we only use high level products, and we cook with joy and passion. During the day, you’ll have the opportunity to receive Reiki and energy healing sessions, book massages for deeper relaxation, or explore the healing presence of the nearby river, and receive guidance for your Spiritual path. During that day we speak about Nervous System, masculine and feminine energies, we work on blockages and repressed emotions and traumas. We engage in walks, breath work and haling sessions. We also offer sacred ceremonies in the evenings, we gather around the fire in summer— heart-opening rituals to deepen your inner connection and amplify collective harmony, to share music, sacred songs, dance, and heartfelt spiritual conversations under the stars. In winter we do this in the big fire place of the living room. This retreat is an invitation to return to your roots, to awaken your presence, and to remember the deep harmony between your inner being and the living Earth. We believe that healing is possible through laughter, connection, vulnerability, and the safety of the Nervous System, and we do that by creating a safe space to be expressed and be truly yourself.

The food we cook is almost entirely self-produced — from the vegetables grown in our garden to the meat we raise with care and respect. Our kitchen is rooted in tradition, and we love preparing classic Italian dishes that carry the soul of our land. We bake pizzas in an old, authentic outdoor wood-fired oven, letting the flames kiss the dough just as our ancestors did. We make fresh pasta by hand, slow and mindful, and prepare fragrant Caprese pestos with basil picked at sunrise. Every meal is a celebration of simplicity, of earth and time, shared in joy and warmth. We really do belive that food is healing. We also enjoy good quality wine! We also allow guests to participate in the Kitchen in case they want to learn how to make bread, pasta, mayonnaise, pizza, etc...

Schedule

A Typical Day Flowing with Intention: Each day unfolds gently, guided by the energy of the group and the individual needs of the participants. The schedule is not rigid, and we don't really like morning alarms but rather a living and waking up according to what our body needs and prefers, on our own rhythm ! We aro though open to discussion and adaptation to your suggestions needs and preference, always in service of deeper connection and inner alignment. The retreat aim to help the regulation of our Nervous System, is specially designed for people in Survival. We begin the morning at an agreed-upon time with a breakfast and a Sacred practice: about an hour or more of yoga, breath work, and ecstatic movement, awakening the body, softening the mind, and inviting the spirit to dance. Afterward or before we share a nourishing breakfast followed by a short pause, allowing space for integration, wi might also go for a walk. After that we have a pause and get ready for lunch. Lunch is lovingly prepared and served, but guests are always welcome to join in the kitchen, whether to learn Italian recipes, discover new flavors, or simply experience the joy of cooking together. After lunch, we allow for two hours of unwinding and rest — a time to digest, to nap, to read, to simply be. After lunch we might have a little nap, a little time alone do digest. Afternoons offer a variety of interchangeable activities depending on the group's energy: guided meditations, energy healing sessions, nature walks, or deep dives into transformative themes such as the divine feminine and masculine, the nervous system, fear, personal wounds, and life’s inner challenges. Dinner is served in the evening, again with the option to participate in its preparation. As night falls, we gather around the sacred fire: songs, dances, good wine, live music, ritual, and ceremony. A space of celebration, release, and magic — where stories are shared, and hearts remember, or just an early night sleep. Some days we might also go out as well to the river, or in Varallo city to the Sacred mountain, or to go for a horse walk.

Testimonials

My Return to the Roots Retreat in Cellio, Italy (January 29–February 5) was nothing short of magical—one of those experiences that stays with you long after you return home. From the moment I landed, I felt held. I was picked up at the Milan airport by our host, and the drive itself set the tone: picturesque, tranquil, and deeply calming, winding through landscapes that gently asked me to slow down and arrive. We reached CasAmor just in time for lunch, and from that moment on, the adventure truly began. Our host, Alice, was absolutely extraordinary. Her presence was warm, intuitive, and deeply attentive—she seemed to anticipate every need before it was ever spoken. I felt genuinely cared for in a way that allowed me to fully relax and be present. My room was beautiful, cozy, and serene, with a stunning view of the Swiss Alps that never failed to take my breath away. The food alone is worth the journey. We were nourished with three incredible Italian meals each day, all prepared by hand with so much love, using mostly ingredients grown right on the property. Each meal felt like a celebration—of the land, of community, and of slowing down. The meals became the heart of our days, and there was always the option to participate in the preparation, which made the experience even more grounding and intimate. The daily rhythm was gentle and spacious. We began with an agreed-upon wake-up time, followed by a delicious breakfast and plenty of time to simply be—resting, reflecting, or soaking in the beauty around us. From there, the days unfolded naturally with nature walks, healing sessions, yoga, guided meditation, and generous pockets of alone time—perfect for journaling, reading, or simply taking a restorative nap. Nothing was rushed. There was no rigid schedule—just a beautiful, intuitive flow guided by what felt right in the moment. That sense of freedom was incredibly healing in itself. We also had the joy of venturing beyond CasAmor to explore the surrounding region: the sacred and powerful Varallo Sacred Mountain, the serene beauty of Lake Orta, the vibrant Borgosesia Saturday market, and, as a special gift, we happened to be there during Carnivale—an unforgettable cultural experience full of colour and joy. This retreat was grounding, nourishing, and deeply restorative—body, mind, and spirit. If you’re longing to reconnect with yourself, with nature, and with a slower, more intentional way of living, I cannot recommend Return to the Roots enough. It truly lives up to its name. Grazie Mille Alice! Warm Regards, Barbara

My husband and I attended a retreat at CasAmor and it was nothing less than transformative. From the moment we walked onto the property we experienced a serene and supportive environment both from the incredible snow-capped mountains we could see from every window to the warm and caring welcome from people we soon felt that we had known forever. The food was incredible but it was more than just a meal—it was a community of friends sharing, laughing, and mindfully eating nourishing food lovingly prepared just for us. There was music, conversation, nature walks, local culture, and baby bunnies born while we were there! Alice’s gifted healing permeated the experience. We will never forget the magic of those days and will return soon.
