In today's meditation,

We will focus on self-acceptance.

Self-acceptance is acknowledging and honoring every part of yourself.

Parts that are easy for you to love,

As well as the parts of you that you deny or keep hidden.

For many of us,

Self-acceptance has been a challenge since childhood.

We've been told and made to believe that who we are is not enough,

That we need to be something other than our true selves.

The process of learning how to accept ourselves requires us to release the stories we've been told and the stories we've been telling.

Letting go of these stories allows us to begin to see the truth,

That we are worthy,

Just as we are of our own self-acceptance.

Instead of looking outside of ourselves for the acceptance that we crave,

We need to look within.

So let's turn within now,

Taking a moment to settle into a position that honors your body.

When you are ready,

I invite you to gently close your eyes or keep your eyes open with a soft downward gaze.

Let's get centered by taking three deep,

Slow breaths.

And as we breathe,

Let's gently release anything that's no longer serving us and accepting ourselves as we are.

Breathing in self-love,

Releasing stories that don't belong to you.

Breathing in self-acceptance,

Breathing out beliefs that no longer serve.

Breathing in breathing in self-compassion,

Letting go of anything you no longer need.

Return to your natural breath,

Taking a moment to check in with your body.

Getting grounded,

Slowing down,

Looking within.

Relaxing the forehead,

Relaxing the jaw,

Bringing your shoulders down and back,

Surrendering to this moment,

Stillness,

This peace.

Now I invite you to take a moment to ask yourself,

What are the stories I've been told and what are the stories I've been telling about myself?

Which of these stories have served you and which have been keeping you from accepting yourself fully?

What is what comes up without trying to change anything?

Allowing yourself to stay open to whatever arises.

For the next few minutes,

I invite you to visualize what your life would look like if you were able to release some of these stories and accept every part of yourself.

What would change?

How would you feel?

What would you be able to do and be with this new perspective?

As we begin to move out of our practice,

Remember that you always have been and always will be worthy of acceptance,

Love,

And passion.

Whenever you need a reminder of this,

You can always return to this meditation.

Keeping your eyes closed or with a soft downward gaze,

Stay in your current position,

Or you can bring your palms together at your heart.

In gratitude of this practice,

It allows you to slow down and remember that you are worthy of your own self-acceptance.

Take one more deep inhale through the nose and an open mouth exhale.

When you are ready,

Turn back to the room and gently open your eyes or lift your gaze.

Thank you so much for joining me today.

Namaste.

Ashe.

So it is.

Thank you for the long pauses after each questions. I realised that I need to be more gentle with myself. I questioned myself and said β€œ imagine if you could be so confident in yourself that nothing anyone said affected me, you were confident enough to be unbothered!’ I will take this with me now and remember that. I am ok how I am, sensitive, kind, giving, loving, loyal. Thank you for this practice, I’ll be back tomorrow to further reinforce this πŸ™πŸ’•
