Transcript
Checking in.
Take a deep inhale in through your nose and sigh out through your mouth.
Do this a few times.
Inhale the cool air in through the nose and the warm air out through your mouth.
Then allow your breath to find its own pace.
Bring your awareness into your seat,
Your feet,
Whatever is supporting you on the floor,
On your chair.
Feel that support beneath you.
Now take a moment to gently scan your body,
Noticing any tension or tightness that you might be holding in your body.
Perhaps through the shoulders,
The spine,
Maybe the hips,
Or even the expression on your face.
Allow those areas to soften gently.
Take in another deep inhale,
The breath out softening a little bit more.
And bring your awareness into your body and ask yourself,
What do I need right now?
Be open to your answers.
Without judgment or criticism,
You might notice sensation in your body,
Wisdom through the mind.
Honor whatever shows up,
Even if nothing at all.
Perhaps you just need it this time.
And take another deep breath in,
Exhaling through the mouth and taking a moment of gratitude for giving yourself this moment,
Checking in,
Being present,
And feeling the support of both the earth,
The universe,
And your own inner wisdom.
Namaste.
