Let's take a few moments together to just release stress from the body and the mind.
Begin by finding a comfortable and ideally quiet space where you won't be disturbed for these next few moments.
You can sit or lie down,
Just making sure your body is relaxed.
You can close your eyes or set your gaze on a spot just a few feet in front of you.
If you choose to keep your eyes open,
Keep the gaze nice and soft.
We'll begin with a few deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
As you breathe in,
Do so slowly,
Intentionally,
Feeling your belly rise.
And as you exhale through the mouth,
Feel the heat and tension releasing from the body.
Allow your body to simply relax a little more with each breath.
Now bring your awareness to the sensations in the body.
Notice any areas of tension or discomfort.
And as you continue to breathe intentionally,
Slowly,
Deeply,
I invite you to think about these places of tension as blocks of ice.
And your breath is a warm,
Soothing light.
So with each inhale,
This light surrounds the area,
Melting the tension,
Releasing any tightness.
Continuing to breathe and just scanning down the body,
Focusing this light,
This attention in this breath toward any areas of stress or tension.
Feeling this melting and this release as you allow the energy to flow a little bit more freely in the body.
If you notice any thoughts or distractions,
Bring your mind back to the breath and notice the temperature as you inhale.
Bring your mind back to the visualization of light permeating now throughout the body.
And as you exhale,
Just feel any stress releasing,
Letting go.
As your body begins to fill with this light energy,
As your tension begins to dissolve,
I'd like you to begin to notice any sensations in the hands,
The palms of the hands,
The fingers.
Notice any sensations through the feet,
Any subtle tingling or temperature.
And don't try to change anything.
Simply notice.
Continuing to breathe deeply,
I invite you to imagine that you are able to release all the stress that your body is holding,
That this breath is able to reset your body,
Your mind,
Bringing you to a state of equilibrium.
Imagine yourself in the most comfortable place as you breathe and notice,
Attuning to the body,
Bringing light into the body and around the body.
And for these last few breaths,
Just imagine that your body is a bright light,
So bright that it's lighting up as though you are sitting at the center of a star.
From this place with this visualization,
Breathe,
Focus,
And let go.
I will take two more breaths,
Really focused,
Really intentional.
And after your next exhale,
Gently find a little bit of movement through the fingers and the toes.
Once again,
Focusing on the hands and the feet.
Maybe roll your shoulders up,
Back,
And down.
Roll your head right to left gently.
Give yourself a little stretch.
Allow a smile to cross your face.
And when you're ready,
You can blink your eyes open or settle your gaze and go about your day.
