Transcript
Make yourself comfortable in whatever safe,
Comfortable space you have.
Allow yourself to relax into this space.
Noticing your breathing.
Making any adjustments which you need to make to your posture so that you can be completely comfortable.
Taking deep breaths of life-affirming air.
And each time you exhale,
Allowing yourself to release anything which is not useful for this meditation.
Bringing your attention to your body now.
Breathing in to your very centre.
And out,
Allowing your body to just relax.
Maybe imagining the feeling of a warm glow descending on you.
So that your head,
Shoulders,
Arms,
Torso and legs are wrapped in this warm,
Secure glow.
And allowing yourself now to become aware of those parts of you which are touching the ground.
Just imagining what it would be like if you were to send roots down into the ground.
Sending a part of yourself deep down.
So that you are anchored to the ground.
Stable and supported.
And imagining now.
As you continue to breathe in and out.
That each time you breathe in.
You are drawing in a bright,
Glowing light.
Vital energy.
And as you breathe out.
Allowing that vital energy to surround you.
So that with each breath you are building a strong,
Glowing aura.
And allow that aura now.
To solidify around the outside.
So that nothing can enter within it.
Without your permission.
Each time throughout the exercise that you notice your breathing.
Allow that breath to send light and strength to your protective aura.
And now,
Holding this aura safely around you.
Allow yourself to enter your place of shadows.
So that all those dark,
Secret places which you hold within yourself may be acknowledged now.
Come within this safe,
Protective aura.
And allow yourself to be within your shadows.
And once again,
From within your glowing,
Safe space.
Bring your attention down.
And notice the ground beneath you.
And notice what the ground beneath you is like in this place of shadow.
What do you support yourself on?
And if,
Only if you are ready now.
Just visualize yourself.
Digging down into that ground beneath you.
Remaining stable.
Remaining supported.
Remaining protected.
Just exploring what's there beneath you.
And as you dig.
Feeling any sensations.
Any thoughts,
Feelings or emotions.
Any sounds within or without you.
Just notice those things.
And continue to dig until you find an object.
And when you find that object.
Just allow yourself to contemplate it for a moment.
Remembering that you are grounded and secure.
Strong and protected.
You may recognize the object.
You may not recognize the object.
It may be something new to you.
And as you contemplate the object,
Just ask yourself.
What is the meaning of this object which has been buried beneath me?
What meaning does this object have to me?
And what meaning has this object had for me in the past?
It may not necessarily be the same as now.
Allowing any insights to come to you.
As you continue to contemplate the object.
Just notice any emotions or sensations that arise.
And allow yourself to have those emotions and sensations.
Whether they are pleasant or not.
Noticing those emotions and sensations.
Whether they were what you expected.
Or whether they took you by surprise.
And noticing as you contemplate whatever it is that you've unearthed.
Any thoughts which arise.
Are these thoughts familiar?
Are they new?
Are they helpful?
Or unhelpful?
And just ask yourself now.
Does this object have any purpose for me?
And listen for your answer.
And ask yourself.
Is this something which has perhaps served its purpose?
And if so,
Can you afford to let it go now?
Whatever your answer was.
Just thanking the object now.
For whatever purpose it is.
That it serves or has served.
And then release that object so that it is free.
And you may find that it dissolves and ceases to be.
You may find that it shrinks.
Or that it transforms into something new.
Something that is useful to you now.
Just for a moment,
Focus on your own energy.
And that auric field which you became aware of at the beginning of this exercise.
The processes going on within and around your body.
Any images,
Colours or sounds which are associated with that.
And now that the object has changed or dissolved.
Or done what it needed to do for you.
Just bring your attention back to that auric field which we created.
And imagine now a bright,
Bright light,
A pillar of light flowing down from above.
Filling and cleansing you.
If you've got anything which needs healing,
Offer it up now.
That it may be healed by this process.
Remember your breathing.
Remembering those roots that anchor down into the earth.
And the strength and support this gives you.
Bringing your attention now back to your physical body.
Becoming aware once again of your fingers and toes.
Your posture.
Any sounds which are around you.
And when you are ready,
You can begin to open your eyes and come back into the room.
