Taking a few moments to settle into your body and into this practice.
Adjusting yourself so if there's any area in your body carrying tension or weight,
Seeing if you can soften this area,
Releasing the tension,
Imagining that you're able to release it,
Let it go.
You might also want to gently shift your weight from side to side until you find a nice steady grounded place in the center,
Elongating your spine,
Stretching out,
And then releasing,
Allowing it to fall into a natural place.
Beginning to connect now with your breath,
As you breathe in,
Collecting your awareness,
Your attention into a single point,
And then breathing out,
Unsettling into your body,
Feeling the tension melt away,
Breathing in,
Collecting your awareness,
Your attention,
And breathing out,
Releasing,
Relaxing.
Another deep breath in,
Collecting your attention,
And breathing out,
Releasing,
Allowing your attention to melt away.
Continue breathing now at your own pace,
Feeling the natural rhythm of the breath coming in and flowing out.
In your mind's eye,
Imagine a scene before you,
A pleasant,
Beautiful day at the beach.
As you look around,
You see a path leading to this beach,
Feeling the soft sand beneath your feet,
And with every step,
You feel more and more tension easing from your body,
Releasing,
Relaxing.
Looking around and noticing the fine,
Powdery sand glistening in the sun,
And then the sky above you,
And noticing the colors,
The clouds,
The light shimmering through,
The nice,
Comfortable warmth of the sun on your skin,
And a gentle breeze coming in from the sea.
You can almost taste the smell of the salty sea.
You find yourself relaxing,
Letting go of any worries,
Any troubles.
In the distance,
You hear some birds.
As you approach the water's edge,
You might even dip your feet into the cool water,
Noticing it circling around your feet,
Your ankles,
Before the water's pulled back out into the sea.
Gazing out into the water,
All the way out into the horizon,
Seeing if you can detect the line where the water meets the sky's edge,
Noticing the colors in the water,
A deep blue,
A green.
Right behind you,
You notice a comfortable chair inviting you in,
Approaching it,
And taking a gentle seat here,
Facing the water,
Gazing out.
As you sink into this chair,
You feel yourself relaxing,
Letting go.
Any thoughts or concerns from the day,
Releasing them,
Letting go.
You might even imagine that the water is able to take away any of these troubles,
These worries,
These thoughts.
So as the water comes in,
Feeling yourself invigorated,
Recharged,
Rejuvenated,
And as it goes back out,
Imagine that it's carrying away your worries,
Your troubles.
The waves coming in,
Feeling yourself recharged,
Rejuvenated,
And the waves going out,
Releasing all of your worries,
Your concerns.
You might even time the waves with your breath,
A deep breath in,
A wave coming towards you,
And a gentle exhale out,
And the wave goes back out into the sea.
Breathing in,
Feeling the wave approaching,
Breathing out,
Letting go,
Relaxing.
Spending as much time here,
Gazing out into the water's edge,
Imagining the waves coming in and recharging you,
Going out,
Taking away any concern,
Any troubles.
You may stay here as long as you'd like.
You may even choose to go into a deep sleep here,
Resting,
Relaxing on the beach,
Recognizing that this place is here for you at any time that you choose.
And if you'd like to return back to your day,
Imagining that you're getting up from this chair,
Gently walking back to the path,
Looking over your shoulder once more at the water,
Realizing that this place is here for you anytime you wish to return.
