Hello and welcome.
I'm Kazia Gibbons and I'll be your guide this evening.
It's time to wind down for sleep now.
So let's set up your environment as best you can.
Make sure that you're in a safe,
Comfortable place that's set up for sleep.
Turn the lights off.
And notice where you are in your bed,
In your home.
Give thanks to the space that holds you so that you can settle down now for sleep.
And as you settle,
You may want to allow your body to just release any last energy that's lingering from the day.
And so allow yourself to gently stretch or wiggle,
Maybe let out a yawn.
Do what you need to do to let go of the day.
And then call yourself back into your present moment awareness.
So sensing into your present moment,
Feeling your body resting on the mattress or bed.
The sensations of the covers,
The pillows.
Noticing the gentle quality of the light or maybe even the comforting darkness.
Feeling any sounds.
There may be sounds outside the room you're in.
Know that these are the sounds of life and let them pass you.
Feeling into the sound of your breath.
Allowing yourself to follow the sound of my voice and of this gentle music.
To drift off into sleep.
And then allowing yourself to find surrender,
To give up any tension and surrender your body to the mattress,
The bed which holds you.
And knowing that even if you don't sleep immediately,
Your body is resting.
Is receiving this time to rest.
And taking what it needs,
What you need to rest and regenerate.
And you can choose now to surround yourself in a bubble of soft,
Gentle energy.
So allowing yourself to connect to the flow of the universe.
Breathing in,
Inviting that flow,
That universal energy in.
Breathing out,
Sending it out around yourself to create a bubble.
And I don't know what color that energy might be like and whether you can see it in your mind's eye or whether you just feel it or know it's there.
As with each in-breath,
You invite in the flow of the universe.
And with each out-breath,
You send it out to create for yourself a bubble,
A cocoon to keep you safe,
Where your body,
Mind and your energy can rest for the night.
And as you rest here,
You might invite in the spirit of sleep.
And you might imagine the spirit of sleep.
You might see them,
Hear them,
Feel them,
Know the spirit of sleep to be with you.
And as the spirit of sleep is here,
Imagine yourself handing over any unfinished business from today,
Handing that over to the spirit of sleep.
And then safe in your energy bubble with anything that was concerning you,
Given to the spirit of sleep.
It's safe now to go inside.
So there's a place within you that is still,
Dark and quiet.
It's a place of rest,
A place of rejuvenation.
And if you don't yet know where inside you that place is,
You can just go a little bit inside.
Discover the place inside you which has more stillness,
More peaceful darkness,
More quiet.
Knowing that this is where you can go to sleep.
Melting into your deep,
Rhythmic breath.
Knowing that your breathing will be just as deep and slow as is right for you.
Relaxing into knowing that your body is resting.
Trusting your body to sleep.
Giving that invitation from your body to your mind.
Breathing into the spaces.
Breathing into sleep.
Sleep safe by your mattress.
Sleeping all night long.
