Welcome to this short,
Reiki infused meditation for easeful sleep.
As you settle down,
Allow yourself to become more comfortable and surrender your body into your bed.
Notice your breathing and allow it to become as deep and as slow as is right for you.
Not everybody can always get to sleep immediately,
So give yourself permission now to rest comfortably,
Knowing that your body can always rest,
Even if your mind is still drifting off.
You may find yourself becoming naturally more relaxed and more relaxed as you relax.
You may find yourself becoming naturally more relaxed as this meditation continues and I don't know where in your body you will first begin to notice this.

Or whether your entire body will relax and rest before you even notice at all.
Did you know that every sleep you have trains your body to find more rest and more relaxation at the right time now?

And I know that you may be wondering whether this is a new sense of ease drifting in,
Or you may even recognise it as an old friend.
And it's good to wonder,
Mind wandering through the pathways of your neurology,
Breath wandering through the cells of your body,
Oxygen reaching the right places in the right amounts at the right time.
And it's good to wonder,
Mind wandering through the pathways of your body,

That's right.
And as you breathe,
So the hormones of your body begin to balance,
Melatonin washing through your system,
And holding you safe so that you can sleep.
And if you are hearing my voice as your system continues to balance,
That means that you're free now to choose to hand yourself over to the care of sleep at any time.

And they say that giving yourself time to rest at this time of the day is even better.
And as you lie here,
There in the place where you are,
You can let yourself be even more comfortable.
Let your breathing be even deeper and slower and more relaxing and more relaxed.
And you might be asleep now or in a couple of minutes.
And I wonder how easy it might be and what a relief to surrender into sleep.
As the bed invites you to melt into it in sweet rest.
And they say that the deepest sleep is the sweetest.
At least that's what I hear now.
And I don't suppose it matters if you're already falling asleep or if you fall asleep now.
Just as long as you know you're free to relax.
And rest your body and your mind just as much as you need to now.
