Transcript
Hello and welcome to this short bedtime meditation.
If you haven't already,
Find a comfortable position and allow your eyes to gently close.
Now take a big deep breath in,
Filling the belly with air.
And then audibly sigh it out.
Good,
Two more like that.
Take breath in,
Fill the entire body with air,
And sigh it out,
Letting everything from the day go.
Last one deep inhale.
And long exhale.
Let your breath fall back into its natural rhythm and turn your awareness to whatever parts of your body are touching something below you.
Maybe it's just your seat if you're sitting,
Or maybe it's your whole backside if you're lying down.
Tune into every part of your body that's touching the earth below you.
Feel as your body gets heavier and heavier.
Everything relaxes and sinks deeper into the ground.
So work out in that area that you're sitting now.
Let it sink.
Great.
The day is done,
There's nothing else you need to do right now.
So allow your body to have a warm heaviness that's ready for rest.
Allow your mind to clear of all thoughts as it too needs rest.
I invite you to express gratitude and pride for a day well done.
And now set a wish for yourself tomorrow,
Maybe to feel joyful or at ease,
Anything you'd like.
Let this be an intention that will marinate throughout the night.
And now grant yourself a night of restful sleep.
Sweet dreams.
