Let's begin our day with a little bit of happy talk and meditation in this short yet impactful podcast designed to infuse a little bit of positivity into each moment of every day.
Let's get in the flow.
We had a death in our family yesterday.
My husband's grandmother who was 100 years old passed away yesterday.
She was a beautiful soul,
Beautiful soul and I got to have so many conversations with her about mediumship.
I got to give her readings.
So she was into all of this,
You know,
And I,
You know,
When I consider what she experienced in her 100 years,
I mean,
I'm sorry,
But I'm 56.
I don't know,
Wow,
Another 50 years.
That seems so crazy to me,
Right,
To think,
But when I think of all the things that she has experienced in her life,
Right,
Think about this.
She experienced like multiple wars,
Right,
The stock market crash,
Like the first one,
The depression,
The invention of television.
Think this through.
I mean,
It just,
It just blows my mind,
Right?
Computers.
She did not get polio,
Smallpox,
COVID,
AIDS and multiple other diseases.
I mean,
Seriously,
She really had a great life as far as that goes.
She was,
And I'm sorry I'm going into this,
But there's a reason why I'm saying this.
She was actually,
And I believe this was in the 1940s,
She was Miss New Orleans,
Right?
Right?
How cool is that,
Right?
She traveled,
She had kids,
She met amazing people,
She met the Beatles,
Just saying,
Right?
I mean,
This woman was amazing.
What a fantastic example for us to consider.
Her life was not perfect by any means,
But she dealt with the cards that she was given,
And I'm not saying she never got down,
Because you know,
I'm sure she did,
And I'm not saying that she didn't,
You know,
There weren't like some really pretty crappy things that happened to her,
But she dealt with it,
And she moved forward.
So do we appreciate our life such as it is,
And move forward from those things?
Because again,
We all have those things,
You know?
We all have those things.
She persevered.
She did.
She really persevered.
So today,
I want us to meditate on our lives.
Our lives.
Again,
No one has a perfect life,
But I believe that if we pay more attention to and focus on the great things in our lives,
And we persevere over those hardships,
That is where to find the lasting joy and peace in our lives.
And here's the thing,
It's gonna be different for everyone,
Right?
Finding those things that we can sort of grasp onto and appreciate of our lives,
It's obviously highly personal,
You know?
But what ticks that box?
Like,
When you think of finding lasting joy and lasting peace for yourself,
How does that sit for you?
How does that look for you?
How do you find that?
Like,
What ticks that box?
When you think about your life as it is right now,
What ticks that box to make you appreciate your life?
Warts and all,
Right?
Is it your family?
Or is it not your family,
Actually,
You know?
Is it the adventures that you've had?
The experiences?
Is it your career?
Is it that you,
You know,
What ticks your box?
I mean,
Everybody has a thing that,
Like,
Lights them up inside.
It could be your faith,
Actually,
You know?
What works for you?
What is it that makes you really understand the gratitude of your life?
And again,
You know,
It has,
It's different for everybody,
But that's what I want to focus on today in our meditation.
So,
Let's get ourselves comfy,
And let's get ourselves comfy.
And my voice feels low today,
Like I'm talking really low,
But I can still appreciate and have gratitude,
Right?
It doesn't matter where your voice is.
I'm so weird.
So,
Let's get ourselves comfy.
Grab your blankie if you're having a chilly morning.
Close your eyes whenever it feels right for you.
So,
Let's take a nice deep breath in.
Very gently breathe in through your nose and out your mouth.
Awesome.

Today,
I am grateful for my life,
The amazing parts,
And the lessons.
So,
That is our mantra,
Our affirmation for today.
Because if we are grateful for it all,
The sum total,
That's where we,
That's where we have,
That's where we find the true fulfillment in our lives.

Let's consider a few things.
What are you grateful for?
Start listing them in your mind.
What are you grateful for?
Your kids,
Your grandkids,
The bed you slept in last night,
Hmm,
The perfection of the mattress,
The weather outside,
Your first cup of coffee,
The dinner you had last night with your family where you laughed and enjoyed each other.
What are you grateful for today?
So,
Let's sit in the stillness for just a few minutes and meditate on the affirmation,
Today I am grateful for my life,

And the lessons.
