Good morning and welcome to this meditation to help you feel focused and motivated for the day ahead.
If you haven't already,
Go ahead and find a comfortable position,
Ideally sitting upright with a straight spine.
Rest your hands wherever feels good and allow your eyes to gently close.
Let's take a few deep inhales and long exhales together,
So letting any air out.
And now take a big breath in,
Feeling the belly and chest expand with air and slowly let it out.
Another deep inhale,
Really feeling the air reach every part of the body and exhale,
Maybe letting a sigh out.
Once more,
Big breath in and exhale,
Maybe sighing it out.
Allow your breath to fall back into its natural rhythm and bring all of your attention to your hands,
Pay attention to any sensations present.
Maybe there's a tingling or you can feel the fabric of your clothes against your palms.
Just place your awareness on your hands.
If your mind has wandered,
That's totally normal.
Just bring your attention back to your hands whenever it strays.
Keep your focus on your hands.
There's nothing else you need to do at this moment or just getting really present and focusing on any sensations you can feel in your hands.
You can let that attention go.
And throughout your day,
If you start to feel distracted,
Just focus on the feeling of your hands for one minute and then get back to whatever task you have at hand.
And now think of one thing you'd like to accomplish today,
Just one goal,
Big or small,
And hold that in mind.
And now visualize yourself accomplishing that goal.
See yourself taking all the steps necessary to get it done.
Tell a story.
Now imagine that you've completed your goal and notice how it makes you feel after it's done.
Good.
Throughout the day,
If you're struggling to feel energized about completing your goals,
Come back to how you would feel after it's done.
Now repeat the following phrases after me,
Either out loud or in your head.
I have the focus needed to get things done.
I am ready to have a productive day.
I have all the time I need to get things done.
I have all the energy I need to get things done.
I will accomplish everything I need to today.
I am focused and ready for the day ahead.
Take a big breath and letting those affirmations sink in.
And exhale,
Letting go of any resistance that may be keeping you from staying focused today.
