Transcript

Good morning.

Allow yourself to settle into a space that would feel restorative yet energizing.

Maybe you'd like to sit on a chair or a couch or even on the edge of your bed,

Placing your feet down on the ground.

Right away feeling an overwhelming sense of gratitude.

You have woken up to see and experience another day.

You can close your eyes if you'd like and place your hands on your lap with the palms facing down.

Breathing in through your nose,

Exhale out your mouth.

As you inhale,

Opening your heart.

As you exhale,

Root down into your feet,

Into your hands.

Allow yourself to energetically be pulled down into whatever is holding you.

Breathe in,

Exhale root down,

Feeling stable and held.

Inhale,

Expanding your heart,

Your mind.

Exhale,

Root down.

Inhale,

Open.

Exhale,

Ground down.

Take a couple rounds of breath on your own,

Putting this beautiful grounding intention behind your breath.

Feel how your breath begins to steady your mind and your heart.

Lifting the heart and feeling the shoulders pulled down and back.

Feeling grounded yet open to receive this new day.

Noticing if there's any what-ifs swirling around within you,

Holding space for any anxiety or worry,

Doubt,

Fear of this day.

Take a breath in,

Exhale,

Let it all go.

My friend,

What if it goes well?

What if the day is actually one of the best days of your life?

You start to bring into your being a sense of surrender.

Surrendering to the day,

Trusting the unfolding of the day.

Slow breath in and exhale.

And exhale,

Knowing that to surrender to the day doesn't mean that you will be passive.

It simply means that you will remain open.

Bring awareness back to your grounded feet,

Your seat that is rooted and bring into your mind's eye the most beautiful tree.

Imagine the deep,

Rich bark and the beautiful green leaves,

Many branches.

Noticing how still the tree is and how deeply rooted the tree is in simply being.

Remembering that a tree often will sway in the wind,

Visualizing the roots deeply rooted into the earth,

Hundreds of roots.

You are the same.

You are rooted,

But you can flow,

You can sway,

You can remain open.

Reminding your heart,

Your mind,

Your being,

I am rooted,

But I flow.

I am,

But I flow.

And from this deeply rooted space,

You feel trust and ease and excitement as you move forward into your day,

Feeling gratitude and a sense of readiness,

Knowing that any uncertainty you feel is actually the day gifting you with infinite possibilities.

Take a slow breath in and a slow exhale.

I am grateful.

I am ready for this day.

I am grateful.

I am ready for this day.

May you feel grounded and held as you move through each and every moment today.

And maybe just for today,

You trust in the unfolding and you find ease within the effort and just notice how different you may feel.

Giving thanks for this new day and for the life that is yours.

Remembering that you can create your reality.

It will be a good day from my heart to yours.

I woke up feeling chaos in my chest and tightness in my throat. This meditation helped me dissipate all of that, even as my twin toddlers burst into the room and climbed onto me and fought to cuddle as I followed the guidance. I pictured myself as that grounded tree, and I even felt one of my boys breathing with me at one point. Thank you for this.
