Use this short morning meditation to feel more at ease. So often, our mornings are filled with worry and anxiety about the day. There are so many unknowns about what might unfold. Remember, my friend, we can still find peace and calm within the unknown. I hope you feel that way after this meditation.

Transcript

Soften into this very moment,

As you meet the new day,

Breathing in,

Exhale.

Slow inhale,

Exhale release.

One more deep breath in,

Exhale.

What a gift it is that you chose to pause before stepping into the day.

You've never seen this day,

And although that might feel scary,

It can also be exciting.

Can you soften your face,

Your shoulders,

Allowing yourself to rest here.

Allowing yourself just to sit with any of those feelings of anxiety or worry.

Just witnessing those feelings visit your heart and your mind.

Feel into whatever is holding you.

Feel supported and held,

Grounded,

Secure,

Stable,

Steady,

Breathe in,

Exhale.

My friend,

May you move one breath at a time today,

Knowing that all you need to do is take it slowly.

And for right now,

All you need to do is be here.

Allow this moment to fully consume you in the best way.

Place all your attention to just being here.

Feeling into this stillness,

The support of the present moment.

Morgan Harper Nichols writes,

The future is always unknown.

And there are so many ways tomorrow could go.

There are so many ways today could go.

But what if instead of worrying about all that could go wrong,

You focused on the beautiful truth that all along,

You have had this moment right here to focus on one thing at a time.

One conversation at a time.

One project at a time.

One hour at a time.

One breath at a time.

Whatever is pushing you to think you have to sort it all out at once does not have a final say on how things go today.

Breathe in,

Exhale.

How beautiful it is that even when it feels like too much,

You choose to slow down and breathe.

Here you are learning to be courageous despite your fears and worries of the unknown.

May you remember to just take it one breath,

One moment,

One step at a time.

Go slowly.

Notice a subtle shift within you.

Breathing in,

Exhale.

May you take your deep breath,

Your loving awareness,

And this mindfulness you've cultivated into the rest of your day.
