Details

Most people arrive here because the mind will not stop talking, or because daily life has become so consuming that there is no space left to see what is actually happening beneath the surface. This retreat creates uninterrupted space for clarity through structured breathwork, silence, and embodied awareness. It is designed for serious practitioners who want depth, not distraction. Over seven days, you learn Shakti Pranayama, a precision breath system rooted in Vāsi Yoga, and observe its effects using personal EEG feedback. Rather than guessing at progress, you begin to understand how stability, coherence, and inner stillness actually develop. The immersion is intimate and rigorous. With a maximum of three participants, the work is direct and personal. You explore the four levels of Vāk experientially, refine concentration through guided silence, and participate in a hands-on workshop mapping your current karmic phase using Vedic Life Pattern Mapping. Traditional vegetarian Indian cooking is woven into the experience as mindfulness in action. The Hudson Valley setting supports uninterrupted focus and nervous system regulation. You leave with more than an experience. You leave with structure, clarity, and tools you can continue applying in daily life.

Food at this retreat is not catering — it is part of the practice. Every meal is prepared using handcrafted spice blends from an in-house spice studio, where each blend is made from scratch using traditional Indian methods. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all vegetarian, nourishing, and designed to support deep nervous system work throughout the day. Cooking lessons are woven into the retreat schedule. You will learn the science behind Indian spicing — why certain combinations work, how to build flavor, and how to prepare wholesome, restaurant-quality Indian meals in under 15 minutes at home. This is a practical skill you take home and use for life. Most people spend a significant amount eating out because cooking Indian food at home feels complicated or time-consuming. After this retreat, it is neither. You will cook better Indian food than most restaurants serve — faster, healthier, and at a fraction of the cost. Guests consistently say the food alone is worth the trip.

One of the Most Memorable Experiences of my Life I’ve been practicing yoga since 1973, and must say that what I learned here through this beautiful soul, Harish, is much more than inspiring. I feel blessed and honored to have Google stumbled upon this wonderful yogic breath retreat. Harish is a very humble man but also keenly knowledgeable, patient, generous, down to earth, and a fantastic cook to say the least. He also has a great sense of humor and lots of laughs were shared with him and the other guest. Another great bonus - small, intimate class sizes for dedicated instructions with care and camaraderie. So, I’m calling all yogis and yogini’s, as I like to say, “ if you don’t know Harish you don’t know jack about yoga. “ He is a true inspiration, sharing his knowledge and wisdom with the students fortunate enough to find him. You will leave feeling lighter, healthier, happier, and eager to continue what you learn from him. If you have the time, I suggest the 10 day vs 4 because you won’t want it to end. You will look and feel younger, better, without any of the traditional rigorous work. I always felt that the (pranic) breath work was extremely discounted and overlooked in the west, so discovering a great teacher of these ancient techniques is a rare gift. As if this wasn’t enough, Harish is also a great cook! His food is simply delicious and almost effortlessly prepared using his incredible blends. He is happy to teach us how to prepare mouth-watering Indian foods. As a mother who did lots of cooking, I already knew my way around the kitchen, but I learned so many new dishes, tips and tricks that I can’t wait to try out on my family and friends. I’ve traveled much of the world and have been to India twice. This is truly one of the most memorable experiences of my life. So many thanks to you, dear Harish!

Amazing Experience that Provided me with Clarity and Peace. I just returned from this amazing weekend retreat. Like many people I was under a lot of stress and looking for clarity, uncertain aspects of my future relationships, career, etc. I had recently watched the movie “Eat, Pray Love“. if you haven’t seen it, I would recommend it. Julia Roberts is searching for clarity and takes a trip to India, where she learns breathing techniques, meditation, etc. While I enjoyed the movie, which is based on a true story, a trip to India is just not feasible for me. But thanks to the universe, India came to me! I met Harish through this website. Having read the reviews, looking at his website and retreat offerings, it seemed to be exactly what I was looking for.I found this to be an amazing experience that provided me with clarity and peace. The website and course online as a guide to continue to practice at home are a resource I will definitely use.I also opted to complete the astrology chart, which provided valuable insights into my own behavior patterns. This will allow me to reflect and make choices differently based on this information. Harish is a great host, instructor, and cook. I enjoyed the cooking lessons as well.Accommodations were clean and comfortable. His home is set in a very peaceful setting, allowing for a wonderful space for quiet reflection.

Left With Knowledge That I’ll Carry With Me For A Lifetime I went to the retreat with no expectations, other than to deepen my knowledge and find a bit of inner peace through silence. The location was wonderful, the valley is beautiful, I highly recommend taking a little walk. The food definitely exceeded my expectations: flavorful, nourishing, delicious, and beautifully presented. It was truly one of the highlights of the weekend. However, the greatest highlight was Harish himself! His warmth, kindness, and genuine willingness to help. He broke down every concept so clearly, ensuring I understood not just the theory but also how to apply it in practice. We were 2, and it allowed us to go in depth at every step.He also used this small device, EEG scanner , to scan brain electrical activity and measure concentration levels. We did the first scan on Friday and repeated it on Saturday after all the theory work , and it was incredible to see how much my concentration during meditation had improved. His guidance is truly remarkable. I left with knowledge that I’ll carry with me for a lifetime and can continue to apply as I grow.

Harish's program offers a rare blend of personal attention, deep spiritual insight, and holistic learning. With only a few students per session (I was the only one in mine), Harish provides full, undivided attention and teaches from real-life experience rather than theory. His teaching is grounded in his personal journey—learning from various Siddhas across South India. He also provided materials which are detailed and thoughtfully compiled, blending practices from Vaasi Yoga, Shat Kriya, and Panch Vayu kriya. As a bonus, the meals were exceptional—flavored with handcrafted Beyond Masalas that made cooking feel effortless. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an authentic, experiential path.

A breathwork Retreat Like No Other I recently had the privilege of attending the 3-day reset breathwork retreat hosted by Harish, and I can honestly say it’s an experience I will never forget. Words almost fail to describe the impact it had on me—not just physically or mentally, but on a soul level. I went in carrying a lot and came out feeling lighter, clearer, and more deeply connected to myself than I have in a very long time. The breathwork sessions were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. They were intense, beautiful, and at times completely unexplainable. Harish guided us with such grounded wisdom and care, creating a safe space where I could truly let go. Each session brought something new to the surface—grief, clarity and joy. But this retreat was more than just breathwork. Harish also shared his passion for Indian cooking, teaching us to create incredible dishes using his own handcrafted spice blends. The food we cooked and shared felt like nourishment on every level. This retreat was a reset in the truest sense of the word. It was a pause, a deep breath, a reminder of who I am beneath the noise. If you're going through something, or even if you're not, I couldn’t recommend this experience more. Harish doesn’t just host a retreat—he holds a sacred space for transformation. Thank you, Harish. I’ll carry this with me always.
