Studies show that taking a 'power nap' has a significant benefits for your physical and mental wellbeing. A power nap can boost your energy, altertness and productivity. Put a pause into your day to rest and refresh.

Transcript

Close your eyes now and mentally repeat these words.

For this power nap,

I allow my mind and body to be completely relieved of all duties,

Duties,

Demands and responsibilities.

And I trust that my body will awaken in 15 minutes and that I will awaken feeling fresh and alert.

So settle now into a comfortable posture,

Making any adjustments that you need to do so that you can let your mind and body rest for this time.

And once your body is comfortable and once you feel fully supported,

Let your body breathe and spend a few moments breathing very slowly and very deeply,

Allowing that breath to flow right down into your body,

Filling up your abdomen and then flowing wide into your chest and allowing your body to exhale with a long and soft sigh.

And as you take a few of these slow and deep breaths,

Let the exhalation be an opportunity for your body to soften,

For your mind to drop into a quiet space and giving your mind and body some time now to settle down,

To soften and to really receive and feel these words that for this time,

Absolutely nothing is being asked of you.

Nothing is being asked of your mind or your body.

There's absolutely nothing to do.

There's absolutely nowhere to go.

There's nothing to get.

And if your body wants to sleep,

Allowing that to happen,

Surrendering all effort,

Releasing all trying and allowing your body to soften,

Completely and utterly abandoning the weight so that right now your body is held,

Fully supported,

Melted,

Melting into the surface that it's resting on,

The bones surrendering to gravity,

Your body breathing naturally all by itself,

Nothing to control,

Nothing to manage,

Nothing to get right,

Just being here is enough.

Let the feeling of your body come to you,

Feeling the inside of the mouth,

Tongue resting in the mouth,

Your lower jaw loosening,

The whole of the inside of the mouth softening,

The throat melting,

Feeling the weight of the eyes and let them soften back now,

Sensing the weight of the brain,

Your brain releasing and letting go,

Nothing to figure out,

Nothing to understand,

Let your body sleep now if it wants to,

Let your body know,

The feeling behind the eyes softening,

The skin on the face releasing its weight,

Completely releasing the weight of your head,

The softening of the neck and allow that softening to flow down,

Flowing into your shoulders,

Your shoulders emptying out,

Sinking down,

This softening flowing down your arms,

Flowing into your hands,

The softening in the palms,

The fingers resting open,

Any time that you drift into thinking,

Simply return,

Come back to the gentle,

Silent space of just being,

Let there be a softening in the chest,

A softening of the whole back of your body,

Feeling into your abdomen and let there be a softening deep in your belly,

The lower half of your body resting open,

Hips releasing their weight,

Releasing the weight of the legs,

Let your body sleep now,

Let your mind rest,

Just for now,

You can come back to everything later,

But right now,

Nothing is being asked of you,

Just being here is enough,

Feeling your whole body and allow your body to soften just a little more,

Then letting go,

Feeling皇 body Surrendering.

.

.

Allowing.

.

.

Emptying out.

.

.

And simply being.

.

.

And now allow your body to breathe again.

.

.

Very deeply and very slowly.

.

.

It's time to wake up now.

.

.

Take a few very slow.

.

.

Very deep releasing breaths.

.

.

Filling your body with a refreshing long slow drink of life-giving breath.

.

.

And then invite your body to move and stretch.

.

.

It's time to wake up now.

.

.

Your body moving and stretching in any way that it needs to.

.

.

Feeling fresh.

.

.

Alert.

.

.

And ready to proceed with your day.

.

.

Thank you for joining me for this power nap meditation.

I really enjoyed the pace, the wording towards mind and body and vocal quality. My one note- probably more for sound editing than the narrating- the end of some words are inaudible. They’ve been with clipped or under pronounced Enough to that I noticed and needed to ‘actively’ not hear it or let it bother me. After that - power napped quite successfully
