How to live with awareness in the present moment? Many ask me this question stating that they live their life more and more in the past or the future. Living a life of anxiety, stress, and unhappiness that is the new normal. Change that now with this short “Just for today” meditation that helps us focus on the present moment. We become aware and increase our focus and concentration on living this day to the full, not being angry and frustrated about the past or worrisome about the future. Let’s live our lives consciously, for today, and repeat this living mantra when tomorrow comes around.

Transcript

This is a just for today meditation that puts us in the moment.

So I want you to close your eyes and know that you're here present in this moment and let's manifest the day ahead.

Just for today I will bring joy to myself.

I will be happy.

Just for today I will take care of my body.

I will exercise.

I will nourish.

I will eat healthy.

Just for today I will strengthen my mind.

I will learn something useful.

I will read.

I will reflect.

Just for today I will expand my consciousness.

I will become more aware of the present moment.

Just for today I will take a quiet half hour to relax myself.

Just for today I will be loving,

Kind and gentle to myself and all other beings.

Just for today I will have one goal in mind for the day and make it happen.

Just for today I will release any thoughts of anger,

Any frustration,

Any irritation,

Any anxiety,

Any stress,

Any feeling of being overwhelmed,

Any guilt that I carry in my heart.

I will let it go.

Just for today I will release all thoughts of worry.

Worry about my job,

Worry about my health,

Worry about my family,

Worry about my future.

I will let it go.

Just for today I will be in gratitude.

Gratitude for my life.

Gratitude for a roof over my head.

Gratitude for food on the table.

Gratitude for all things big and small in my life.

Just for today I will be unafraid.

Especially I will not be afraid to be happy,

To enjoy what is beautiful around me,

To love and to believe that those I love,

Love me in return.

Just for today.
