Good morning and welcome dear sensitive soul.

This is your gentle invitation to begin the day with softness,

Even if you woke with worry or tension.

Sometimes mornings arrive with anxious thoughts about all that lies ahead in our day and in this short EFT practice we'll ease your body,

Soothe your mind and set a kinder tone for today.

If you can,

Find a comfortable place to sit.

You can place both feet on the floor but really that's not even required.

Just rest your body where it feels comfortable and supported and let's start by taking a slow deep breath in and out.

Ah it really is helpful to sigh it out loud when you do the out-breath.

So I use EFT points that I'm familiar with and I'm hoping you'll do the same.

So I start on the side of the hand and then we go from there to the top of the head and downwards to the eyebrow point and so on.

If you don't know the EFT points,

There's so many places online where you can find it.

So start on the side of your hand and say,

Even though I feel anxious about the day ahead,

I acknowledge how sensitive I am and I choose gentleness for myself right now.

We just continue on the side of the hand for now,

Even though these thoughts and worries are already here so early this morning,

I just acknowledge them with kindness.

Even though my heart feels unsettled as I think about what's coming,

I deeply and completely accept myself anyway.

And then start wherever you are familiar with your round top of the head or eyebrow point and each sentence we just go down to the next point.

I've got so much to face today.

I feel the tension rising in my body.

So many things could go wrong and my mind is already racing about it all.

It feels hard to start and the anxiety is real in my body.

I feel it and I notice it and acknowledge it.

I've got all this anxious energy in me right now.

Rest your arms and take a nice deep breath in and out.

And let's work a little bit with the sensations in the body.

So side of the hand again,

Even though my body feels tight with worry,

Maybe I could allow myself to soften just a little bit.

Even though I feel this discomfort in my body,

I can choose to be kind and gentle with myself.

And then a tapping round.

So starting where you are familiar,

Top of the head or eyebrow,

This tightness in my chest.

I feel this tension in my neck and shoulders.

This tightness is not in my stomach.

My jaw is tight.

My body is holding on and just trying to protect me.

Maybe it's okay to soften even just a little bit.

I allow my body to release just a bit.

And again,

Rest your arms and take a nice deep breath in and out.

I'm inviting ease into my body and again,

Pause,

Take a nice deep breath in and out.

And let's work a bit with calming the mind.

Side of the hand again,

Even though my thoughts just keep racing,

I remind myself that I can pause and breathe.

And start on top of the head or your eyebrow point.

I've got so many thoughts spinning.

My mind is just trying to prepare for everything.

My brain wants me to do it all right the first time.

There's a lot of pressure in my mind.

What if I could slow it down just a little bit?

Maybe I can just slow it down to one thought at a time.

And I acknowledge that my mind is just trying to keep me safe.

And maybe I can give myself permission to rest inside,

Even with the thoughts here.

Just take a nice deep breath in and out.

Oh,

I don't know about you,

But I can feel myself sighing.

More and more and just more deep,

Restful sighs.

And it feels like there's a bit more space inside of my mind now.

So just notice how it is for you.

And let's do one more round with a gentle intention for how we want our day to go.

Starting on the side of the hand,

Even though this day may feel really big right now,

I still choose to begin with softness.

Even though there's a lot in my day,

And perhaps I don't feel right now that it'll all be okay,

I can still choose to be kind and gentle with myself.

Even though there's a lot going on for me,

I choose to soothe and comfort myself.

And then start to tapping around.

I choose to remember that I can take this day one step at a time.

I don't have to rush.

I choose to remember I can carry this gentleness with me.

And I can move at a pace that's right for me.

I remind myself that it's really okay to begin softly.

Perhaps I can meet this day with calm presence every step of the way.

I remind myself that I can choose small pauses as I go.

I welcome a softer start right here,

Right now.

And one more nice deep breath in and out.

And then just notice how your body and your mind are doing compared to just a few minutes ago when we started.

Beautiful soul,

You've given yourself the gift this morning,

The beautiful permission to just begin gently in a way that's right for your nervous system.

May you carry this calmness into the next step of your day,

Into each step of your day,

Remembering that you can always pause and tap whenever you need.

Thank you for practicing with me today.
