This guided letting go and surrender meditation is one of the most effective ways to let go of any feeling of negativity. Let go, surrender, and release anger, hurt, the need to control, self-criticism, frustration, guilt, and fear. This water-cleansing meditation builds on peace, calm, and balance in the moment. You don't have to be religious or spiritual to practice it.

Our sense of control or letting go runs basic to our life.

When we breathe in,

We gather the energy that runs our life.

And when we exhale,

We let go of life.

And that's the basis of letting go.

From day one of our life,

Our parents have wanted to control us.

Don't do this,

Do that.

Do this right.

And now as you stand,

You'd like to let go of stuff that you don't need.

Maybe it's a job,

Maybe it's a relationship,

Maybe it's a habit.

How do you know that you'd like to let go of something?

Are you in a prison right now?

Any place,

Any situation that you don't want to be in is a prison for you.

See what you don't need in your life and let it go.

Because when you attach your name to something,

You're just buying advertising rights to yourself.

So don't expect.

And the third principle I think is really important.

Don't allow things to stick to you.

Today we're going into this meditation that is about surrender.

That is about letting go.

That is about flow.

And no better way than water.

So let's close our eyes and breathe in nice and deep.

And allow this breath to flow into you.

And exhale and allow this breath to flow out of you.

Let's do this one more time.

Breathing in nice and deep.

Allow life to flow into you.

And as you exhale,

You let go.

It's much like the water.

And today's meditation has the element of water as part of it.

Because it's through water that we cleanse ourselves.

We learn to flow.

And here we are at the edge of this beautiful stream.

The sun is shining down on the stream.

And there's this nice silver kind of a glitter on the water.

On both sides are trees.

Lovely tall trees that stand beside the water.

And now let's gently put our first foot in.

Our first toe.

When you put your toe into the water,

Remember it creates a ripple.

That's really really beautiful to see.

Because it is the combining of two energies.

The energies of you and the energies of the water.

And now we put our foot into the water.

And we're surrounded by this water.

And the water accepts us into her presence.

And slowly we put another foot.

And then another foot.

And then another foot.

And we're in the midst of the stream right now.

It's not a deep stream.

And it's got nice smooth pebbles at the bottom of the stream.

And the water is flowing gently past us.

And we are in the midst of the stream now.

And somewhere in the middle of the stream is a lovely rock that kind of hangs out.

And when you're sitting on that rock,

You can be sitting in the stream half in,

Half out.

And so let's sit down on that rock today.

Your feet are in the water.

Your body is half in the water,

Right up to your belly button.

And you're totally enjoying this moment.

In the distance the birds are chirping.

And there's this lovely movement of the water next to you.

And you're just feeling the presence of this water.

The presence of this moment.

And I want you to breathe in nice and deep.

One thing,

Little or small or big,

That you would like to let go in this moment.

What is it that I can surrender?

What is it that I'd like to let go in this moment?

And you're sitting in that water and it's gently flowing past you.

And you know there's a certain rhythm to water as it flows past you.

It's like a little sway that you have in the water.

And you're totally enjoying it.

The water is not cold,

It's kind of warm,

Surprising for this season.

The sun is shining down upon that water.

And it's a beautiful day.

And it's a beautiful day to let go of something that you don't need in your life.

That is a prison for you.

That holds on to you.

But you know you have to surrender.

You know you have to let go.

And so you're breathing in nice and deep.

And when you breathe in nice and deep,

You can feel the beauty of this moment.

Is your body holding on to any tension in this moment?

Is your body holding on to any tension in this moment?

If so,

I want you to take a deep breath.

Put your hands into the water.

Put your hands into the water.

And as you exhale,

I want you to open your palms out.

And let go of any tension you're feeling in your body right now.

Any tension that you're feeling in your body right now.

You're letting it go into the water by opening your hands in the water.

And the water carries away that tension that was in your body.

The water carries away.

Remember the water is all cleansing.

Our bodies are cleansed by water.

And so when you open your palms out,

When you open your hands out,

You're letting go of any tension that you have been holding in your body.

And you're already feeling lighter and freer.

Let go.

Let go.

Let go of anything that has been winding you up.

Anything that you feel strongly about that you need to let go right now.

Just let it go in the water.

The water is a universal cleanser.

It will cleanse you in this moment.

Is there anything in your mind that you're holding on to right now that is causing you tension?

Release it in this moment.

Release it in this moment.

How do you feel now?

How does it feel to be in this moment right now?

Slowly that freedom is feeling good.

You're feeling freer.

You're feeling lighter.

You're feeling lighter as you're letting go of any stress that was in your body.

And you're letting go of any stress that is in your mind.

Is there any stress in your behavior that you would like to let go?

Is there any behavior that you would like to let go that you're feeling?

Any feeling or behavior in this moment that you would like to let go?

Let it go.

Open your hands up into the water.

And as you exhale,

You let it go.

So you take a deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

You let go any feeling that is causing you tension in this moment.

Let it go.

And what is it that you have brought with you?

Maybe it's a relationship.

Maybe it's a moment in time.

Maybe it's something from the past that you would like to surrender and let go.

Let's let that go in this moment right now.

Surrender and let go.

Maybe it's a thought that is irritating with you.

Maybe it's something that somebody said that hurt you.

You're hurt.

And you need to let it go.

Let it go in this moment right now.

Just breathe in nice and deep.

Open your palms out into the water.

And surrender and let go of that thing that you don't need in this moment.

I don't need that person in this moment.

I don't need that feeling in this moment.

I don't need that job in this moment.

I don't need that hurt in this moment.

Whatever it is that you have brought with you to surrender into the moment.

To let go.

Open your palms out and let it go.

And as you sit here in the water.

The water is cleansing you.

The water is cleansing you.

You let go of any stress and tension in your body.

You let go of any stress and tension in your mind.

You've let go of something that you don't need and you know and acknowledge that it's a prison.

You've let it go right now.

And right now there is nothing to remember.

Nothing to remember.

Nothing from the past that is causing you tension.

You've let that tension go.

This is a moment of peace for you.

There's nothing to plan for.

Nothing to remember.

Nothing to plan for.

Nothing to hold on to right now.

There is nothing to hold on to right now.

You are in the water.

A beautiful wind gently blows over that water.

The sun is shining bright by you.

There is nothing to hold on to in this moment.

You are in the present and surrounded by the universe.

Peace in that moment comes to you.

When you surrender and let go,

Peace in that moment comes to you.

Just allow that peace into your body.

Allow that peace into your life.

Breathe it in nicely.

Allow that new energy to begin.

Allow that new moment in life to begin.

Allow.

Surrender and allow.

And have that faith that the universe,

The God part,

Whoever he is,

Will always bring the best.

So thank you universe.

And now that you've let go,

Slowly and gently arise from the water.

Slowly and gently arise from the water.

And let's walk back through this beautiful part of the forest where we began.

And as you do this you become more aware of the sights and sounds of the forest.

You become more aware of your life in the moment.

And let's thank the universe for the abundance that she has given us.

And whenever you are ready,

Rub your hands together,

Place them in your eyes and open your eyes with a smile.
