Breathwork Benefits
Welcome. In this short video, I’ll share some of the beautiful benefits of conscious breathwork. Our breath is one of the most powerful tools we have to regulate the nervous system, release stress, and reconnect with our body. When we learn to breathe consciously, we can access greater calm, clarity, and emotional balance.

Now I'm going to share a little bit with you about the benefits of breathwork for you to have a reason as to why you want to incorporate these practices ideally daily into your life.
Breathwork is such a powerful tool and what I love most about it is that it is a very holistic approach.
So it is really good not just for our physical body but also our energetic well-being,
Our emotional well-being,
Our connection to our spirit.
It is a little bit like going to the gym.
If you go to the gym once,
Unfortunately you're not going to work out with a six-pack.
I tried,
It didn't work.
Similarly,
Practicing breathwork and meditation,
The moment you start practice regularly,
It's when you really start feeling the benefits.
Now on a physical level,
When practicing regularly,
It can help lower any risk of heart-related diseases,
Which in my eyes,
That alone is a really good reason to practice regularly.
It can help lower inflammation,
It can help lower cholesterol,
It can really help boost our immune system,
It can help improve the depth and quality of our sleep,
Which that alone,
If you have a good night of eight hours deep sleep,
Is going to make all the difference in your everyday life.
It can help us to manage stress,
It can help us to connect to our emotions.
Now I believe that there's no such thing as a negative emotion.
I believe that all emotions are wonderful teachers,
That our baseline,
Our essence,
Is one of peace,
Bliss,
Love,
And that all the other emotions,
The ones that you might consider somewhat more challenging,
Are energy and motion that want to travel through us.
If we allow them to travel through us,
They can teach us and we can come back to our base state.
If we resist,
They will persist and we do have to feel to heal.
So the more we allow ourselves to welcome the full range of our emotions,
The more we can experience vital health in our day-to-day life.
Breathwork is also a powerful tool to work with trauma.
Now when we experience trauma,
And I don't like to make assumptions,
But I feel that this is a fair assumption to make,
That pretty much anyone you'll ever meet in your lifetime will very likely have experienced trauma to some degree in their life.
And when we have traumatic experiences,
Oftentimes there's a strong emotional charge.
And at the time we might not have the tools or the means to process those emotions,
To allow that energy to flow through us.
So that energy and motion that couldn't flow through us might get stuck in the body.
And depending on what the trauma might be related to,
It can get stuck absolutely anywhere in the body.
And it can create energetic blockages.
If these blockages are there for a long enough time,
These blockages can actually can start showing up in the physical body,
In the form of discomfort,
In the form of pain,
In the form of serious illnesses,
Cancers,
Tumors.
I believe that we are beings that are basically made of energy and water,
And that the energy within us and all around us is always flowing,
But sometimes more freely than other times.
To experience vital health,
We want to create a beautiful free flow of creative life force energy in our being.
And breathwork can be a very potent tool to do that.
When we're breathing and we're doing specific breathwork practices,
We might actually start moving some stagnant energies in the body.
Great,
That's what we're here to do.
If we're moving energies related to past traumas,
A few things can happen.
For one,
You might have some strong sensations.
When we're experiencing strong sensations in the body,
There's a good chance that our body actually wants to potentially tell us something,
Because our body is always communicating with us.
And or some energies might actually be shifting,
Or a combination of those two.
So we want to get really curious when we're feeling the sensations,
Where we are feeling them,
And bring love to whatever is arising.
Because once again,
If we resist,
It will persist.
So if you're feeling strong sensations,
I invite you to place either of your hands on top of those areas of your body,
Wherever that might be.
And remember that your hands are actually an extension of your heart,
All the way from your through your arm to your hands.
So you can consciously pour love from your heart into whatever part of your body might need that love right now.
And we want to welcome those sensations,
Give thanks to our body,
Because essentially our body might have been holding something there for a really long time to keep us safe.
Another thing that can happen is that if we're moving energies related to traumas,
Maybe some strong emotions might arise.
Amazing!
That's what we're here for.
So instead of getting caught in a story,
Because sometimes when emotions arise,
It is natural that we want to,
You know,
Find a reason as to why.
But emotions might arise,
And there might not be a story attached.
Great!
Don't attach a story.
Stay present with the sensations in your body.
If you're noticing a story might want to come up,
You go,
Amazing,
I've noticed.
It's an opportunity to come back to your breath,
An opportunity to come back to the sensations.
Because somatically releasing energies from the body can be as simple as bringing loving awareness to the sensations for them to shift and transmute.
Another thing that can potentially happen,
It happens rarely,
Is that a memory of a past experience might arise.
A memory of something that you knew happened,
Or a memory of something that you actually unconsciously suppressed.
In that case,
I want you to once again acknowledge,
I'm noticing there's a memory.
Come back to your breath,
Come back to the sensations,
However many times that need to happen.
Now if something comes up that is quite disturbing for you,
Please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
This is something that I help people integrate in a one-on-one space and I'm so happy to help you dive deeper and for you to be able to free yourself from any energies that might have been stuck in your body.
