Welcome to this meditation to start your day with gratitude.
I'm Sarasen Akroche and I'll be your guide today.
Go ahead and find a comfortable position.
You can be seated or lying down with your hands gently resting in your lap or at your sides.
If it feels safe,
Gently close your eyes or maybe they're closed already.
And now take a deep breath in through your nose,
Filling your lungs completely.
Hold it for a moment.
And now exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension or heaviness.
Now imagine standing in a beautiful garden as the morning sun begins to rise.
The air is fresh and the gentle warmth of the sun touches your skin.
This is a place of abundance where every flower,
Tree and blade of grass exists in harmony and offers beauty and nourishment.
As you stand here,
Take a moment to reflect on one thing you are grateful for in your life.
Let this thought fill your heart,
Spreading a sense of warmth and appreciation through your whole body.
And now think of another blessing,
Maybe a relationship,
An experience or another moment of joy.
Feel the gratitude for this expand within you like the sunlight spreading over the garden.
And finally,
Bring to mind something you might usually overlook.
Something very small but meaningful.
Something like the sound of birds,
The softness of your pajama or just the steady rhythm of your breath.
Find your own small but meaningful thing.
And just let this sense of gratitude anchor you in the present moment.
Take a deep breath and as you exhale,
Silently repeat the following affirmations.
I am grateful for this new day.
I carry an abundance of blessings within me.
I choose to focus on the good that surrounds me.
I begin my day with a heart full of gratitude.
Feel these affirmations settle into your being,
Becoming your truth for the day ahead.
What is one small act you can do today to express your gratitude?
Now take one more deep breath,
Filling your body with a sense of peace and appreciation.
Feel this energy of gratitude within you,
Steady and uplifting as you prepare to step into your day.
Namaste.
