The Carolina Confidential is where your Asheville daydreams come to life: think laughter echoing through colorful rooms, clinking glasses in a secret speakeasy, and starlit nights around the fire as the mountains fade into the dark. This is a home made for memory-making weekends, milestone celebrations, and family gatherings that people talk about for years. Step through the front door and into a swirl of color, texture, and art that feels like stepping into Asheville’s creative soul. Sunlight pours through large windows onto patterned rugs, lush plants, and cozy seating where your group immediately drops their bags and sinks in, already planning the first round of games or cocktails. In the evenings, gather in the main living area for movie nights, late-night conversations, and that one story everyone has heard a hundred times but still laughs at.

Absolutely Life-Changing This retreat was absolutely life-changing. Heather was amazing from start to finish. Absolutely amazing experience

Karoline, United States

I needed a break from my regular routine. It was close enough for me to drive to and allowed me to spend time on myself. I gained strategies for dealing with stress and the role of diet in managing stress. I loved being able to share feelings with this very accepting group of ladies.

The Pumpkin, Presence & Peace Retreat was, hands down, one of the most uplifting and soul-filling experiences I’ve had in years. I arrived hoping for a little calm before the holiday chaos, but what I found over those three days in Mystle Beach was something far deeper-true restoration. Dr. Heather Kidwell has a gift. You can feel her decade of experience in the way she blends research-based stress relief with warm, approachable guidance. Every session felt intentional, never rushed, and always grounded in something meaningful. The science-meets-soul balance she creates is rare, and it made the entire retreat feel both refreshing and trustworthy. The sound bath on the first evening was absolutely magical – like someone hit a reset button on my nervous system. And the reflective practices she led throughout the weekend were so thoughtfully designed that I kept having those quiet “Oh…this is what I’ve been needing” moments. The guest-led sessions added variety and depth, and the whole experience felt like a gentle conversation with myself that I didn’t realize I’d been avoiding. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and free of any pressure. It was the kind of space where you could just be – breathe, reflect, and let yourself soften a little. By the time Sunday rolled around, I felt noticeably lighter, clearer, and way more grounded heading into the holiday season. If you’re craving peace, presence, and a chance to reconnect with yourself, this retreat delivers all of that and more. I truly can’t recommend it enough
