This short practice is made to help you come back to the present moment in your body in times of stress and overwhelm. Scanning your body can help you become aware of sensations in your body, without getting involved in them, while giving your mind something to do.

Transcript

Just pause for a moment.

Sensing the top of your head slowly starting to scan down.

Around the eyes,

The nose,

The mouth,

The back of the head.

Sensing your neck and your throat.

Down to your shoulders,

Your chest and upper arms.

Down to your diaphragm,

Your elbows,

Your lower belly,

Your lower arms,

Your pelvis,

Your wrists and hands.

Sensing both upper legs,

Your knees,

Your lower legs,

Your ankles and your feet.

Notice how they're touching the ground,

Giving you support.

Here you are,

Held by the ground below and by the air around you,

Safe within your body.

The only quick body scan I've found so far that doesn't feel rushed and actually relaxes you. Amazing!
