Hello,

This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation.

And today we're going to focus,

Witness,

Explore gratitude.

This place in our heart that brings us love and happiness and joy.

Let's begin by settling in by taking a deep breath in through your nose and releasing.

Let's do that one more time.

Deep breath in and let it go.

Allow your body to be completely relaxed,

To let go what no longer serves you today.

Allow tension to leave your body,

Allowing anxiety and stress to just melt away.

And gently breathe.

This brings some attention to your face area,

To your brow.

This area holds a lot of tension.

Just let it go.

Just let it relax right now.

Moving down to your jaw,

Unclench your jaw by parting your lips or putting a smile on your face.

Move down to your shoulders.

Just relax your shoulders away from your ears,

Really melting,

Letting go to the chair beneath you or the ground.

Really allow yourself to just relax.

Your mind should be slowing down just a little bit.

And now we're going to take this meditation a little bit deeper and we're going to do some deep breathing to allow our bodies,

Our mind and our spirit to come to the present moment.

To just being right now.

Leaving the past and the past.

Leaving the future where it belongs as we cannot control it.

And just focusing in this present moment.

Let's take a deep breath in.

I'm going to count and you're going to inhale to the count of five.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five.

And exhale to the count of six.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six.

And inhale to the count of seven.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven.

And exhale to the count of eight.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

And inhale to the count of nine.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Nine.

And exhale to the count of ten.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight,

Nine,

Ten.

And now just normally breathe in and out.

In this moment,

You are not in the past,

You are not in the future,

You are right here,

Right now.

In this present moment.

Gratitude can shift your state instantly.

Just simply being thankful for all you have in your life,

No matter how small or big,

Gratitude is the practice of appreciation.

Through gratitude,

You shine the light on all aspects of self.

You can thank Source,

God,

Energy,

The Universe,

Earth,

Whatever resonates with you.

Gratitude just brings you unconditional happiness.

Right now,

Let's ask,

What are you grateful for?

And who are you grateful for?

And allow that list to run.

Allow that list of the things that bring happiness and joy into your life,

To infuse your body,

Your mind and your spirit.

Take a moment right now,

What are you grateful for?

And who are you grateful for?

It could be as simple as running water,

Having a hot shower,

A warm bed,

Having a partner to share special moments with.

What are you grateful for?

And allow your heart to be filled with this joy,

This happiness,

This appreciation.

For the rest of the day,

Allowing this gratitude to infuse in your heart changes all negative energy to positive.

Now,

Let's take it a little bit deeper and we're going to use a mantra to infuse your heart even deeper with gratitude.

Let's use the mantra,

Om Bhakni Yam.

Om Bhakni Yam.

Om is the universal hymn of the universe,

Bhakni,

Unconditional love,

Yam,

Your heart,

Your heart center.

So Om Bhakni Yam is filling your heart with unconditional love.

Om Bhakni Yam.

Repeat this mantra over and over and if at any time any physical sensation,

Sounds,

Or thoughts come into your space,

That's okay,

Don't resist,

Just gently go back to Om Bhakni Yam.

Om Bhakni Yam.

Unconditional love for yourself,

Unconditional compassion for the most important person in your life,

That is you.

Om Bhakni Yam.

Allow Om Bhakni Yam to infuse your heart,

Your soul,

Your spirit.

And if at any time during the day you have a negative energy,

You question yourself or someone around you,

Just gently go back to Om Bhakni Yam.

Om Bhakni Yam.

Now let's sit here for just a moment,

Allowing the silence and stillness to rest within you.

And we're going to seal this gratitude practice,

This moment of stillness,

Of coming to a place of just being by chanting the hymn of the universe,

Aum.

Take a deep breath in.

Aum.

And now let's put our hands together to our heart center and say Namaste,

I honor the divine light in you that is also in me.

And when you're in that space and I'm in that space,

We are one.

Namaste.

This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation,

Sending you love and light.
