Stop the tossing and turning and relax your restless mind. Be guided gently into your beauty sleep. Use this practice when your mind feels loud, restless, or stuck in overdrive at night. This full-length practice is designed to help your nervous system settle so sleep can happen naturally — without forcing, fixing, or trying to “clear” your thoughts. Instead of fighting the mind, you’ll gently shift the body out of alert mode and into a state that supports rest. This practice may be helpful if: Your thoughts keep looping when you lie down You feel physically tired but mentally wired Worry, planning, or mental replay disrupts sleep You struggle to fully let the day go The focus here is on downshifting the nervous system, not controlling the mind. As the body settles, mental noise often softens on its own, making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep. There’s nothing you need to do perfectly. Simply follow along and allow your system to respond at its own pace.

Hello dear friend.

This is your soul vitamins meditation for good sleep.

This is Sarah and I'll be your guide through this meditation and hopefully through you falling asleep.

It's time to lay down in your sacred space and get yourself comfortable.

You know what that is for you.

You can change positions anytime you need in order to be more comfortable but find that comfortable space right now.

Close your eyes and breathe naturally.

Mentally scan your body for areas of tension and make note of how your body feels.

During this sleep relaxation you will focus on releasing any and all tension in your body and on quieting your mind.

Once your beautiful mind is calm and peaceful you will easily drift into pleasant restful beauty sleep.

Breathe in drawing in life-giving air and relaxation.

Exhale slowly expelling any tension that you might have.

You might have thoughts in your head about things you did today or things you need to do tomorrow.

Perhaps you are worried about someone or something.

Now is the time to clear your mind for sleep so tomorrow you will be refreshed and strong and can handle your duties and rules.

So take those thoughts that you have about the things you did today,

The things you need to do tomorrow,

The worry you have about something or someone and send them off on a big fluffy white cloud.

Send them off into the sky.

Now is your time to stop worrying or thinking about what you need to do or what decisions you need to make.

Now is the time to clear your mind for sleep.

There's nothing else you need to be doing in this moment.

Nothing you need to be thinking except calm relaxed thoughts.

Notice how your body feels right now.

Where in your body is today's tension stored?

Focus your attention on the part of your body that feels most tense.

Focus in on one small area of tension.

Breathe in deeply and then let that tension go as you breathe out with a sigh.

Breathe in to that area of tension and send your breath directly there and breathe it out.

Notice where your body feels most relaxed.

Let that feeling of relaxation grow with each breath,

Spreading further and further the feeling of relaxation.

Feel your attention drifting as you become sleepy and calm.

For the next few moments you can choose to concentrate on counting and become more relaxed as each number passes through your mind.

Concentrate your attention on the number one.

As you count from one to ten you will become more deeply relaxed.

As you relax you can allow your mind to drift into pleasant refreshing sleep.

Count slowly with me.

One.

Focus on the number one.

Two.

You are more deeply relaxed,

Deeper and deeper,

Calm,

Peaceful.

Three.

Feel the tension leaving your body.

Relaxation filling your body and mind.

Concentrate just on the number.

Picture in your mind number four.

Very relaxed,

Calm,

A tingly feeling of relaxation coursing through your arms and legs making them very heavy,

Pleasantly heavy and relaxed.

Number five.

As you drift deeper and deeper into calm,

Feeling a beautiful sensation of sleep washing over you.

Six.

Deeply relaxed.

Seven.

Your body and mind are very calm.

Eight.

And so pleasant and heavy.

Nine.

Allow your mind to drift easily,

No distraction,

Floating,

Relaxing.

Ten.

You are deeply relaxed.

Now you may count back from ten to one.

When you reach one you will be fully relaxed and drift into deep sleep.

When I say start,

Count on your own while I continue to talk.

Focus only on the numbers while I describe the relaxation experience.

Starting now at ten and very focused on nine.

Keep going on your own.

As you become deeply relaxed,

Warm,

Heavy,

Peaceful,

Comfortable,

Sleep,

Relaxation,

Pleasant and calm.

Drifting,

Drifting,

Accepting,

Sleep,

Relaxation,

Feeling very good and peaceful.

At peace with yourself.

Confident,

Nurtured,

Refreshed.

Sleep.

Sleep.

Relaxation.

Deeply relaxed.

Sleep deeply.

Calm and relaxed.

Quiet.

Sleep.

Relaxation.

Smooth,

Even breathing.

Warm.

Calm.

Relaxed.

Peaceful.

Relaxed.

Sleep.

Relaxation.

Allowing yourself to drift into deep sleep.

Deep,

Pleasant sleep.
