Hello,
This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation.
Welcome to today's meditation on acceptance.
Let's begin by leaning towards comfort,
Really getting as comfortable as you can,
Allowing your eyes to gently close.
And let's pay some attention,
Some awareness to our face area,
Our brows.
We hold a lot of tension in this space.
You want to gently let it go.
Any stressors,
Any tension.
Just let it melt away.
And gently moving to your jaw,
Unclenching your jaw.
You can do this by gently parting your lips or by gently putting a smile on your face.
Moving down to your shoulders,
Really allowing them to relax.
Putting them away from your ears.
Gently settling in.
Your body grounded to the chair beneath you or the ground,
Wherever you're laying or sitting.
And gently breathe in and out.
Let's take a deep breath in through our nose.
And let it go.
Let's do that one more time.
Deep breath in.
And release.
Your body should start to feel a little bit more relaxed.
Your mind should be slowing down just a little bit.
And let's just float here for just a moment,
Really coming to a place of relaxation,
Of letting go of what no longer serves us today.
Acceptance is a beautiful teaching with many different levels.
It is the root and the foundation of many wisdom traditions including Buddhist compassion teachings,
The Asian Hindu law of least effort,
And Christ consciousness.
But regardless of your orientation to these belief systems,
You can find powerful personal evolution by awakening acceptance in your life.
There are three core levels of acceptance and we instantly shift every aspect of our being by incorporating these three levels.
Level one,
Accepting that this moment is perfect,
Pure,
Whole,
And every moment that has led you to this moment was exactly the way it was meant to be.
This moment is the magnificent culmination of all your life choices.
Every experience that has woven itself in,
Around,
And through you.
And all of the millions of seconds that have ticked up by in just this year alone,
It couldn't be any other way.
So let's take a moment to allow this level of acceptance to plant itself in the fertile soil of your heart,
Of knowing that this moment is perfect,
Pure,
And whole.
Give yourself this moment to just be and gently breathe.
Level two is accepting that you are a divine being who is sealed in this human body for the span of a lifetime and that you have made choices and decisions throughout your life from your highest level of consciousness at that time.
Even though there are choices you may regret or torture yourself about,
They are carved in stone and we must accept them,
Forgive ourselves,
And make better choices in the future.
Take a moment to really plant this level of acceptance in your heart,
Forgiving yourself,
Allowing yourself compassion.
You are so worthy of your self-forgiveness,
Of your self-love,
Of your self-compassion.
Take a moment here.
And now let's move to the third level of acceptance.
Accepting others for who they are,
Not as we wish they would be,
Allowing people's differences,
Quirks,
Unique vibrations to just be and not necessarily fit into our box of how the world is supposed to be,
Just allowing others to be as they are.
Allow this level of acceptance to go deep in your heart,
Allowing others to just be.
For a few moments,
Let it settle in.
Now let's take it just a little bit deeper and we're going to use the mantra Om Mukshah Ananda.
Om Mukshah Ananda.
Om is the hymn of the universe.
Mukshah,
Emotional liberation and freedom.
Ananda is bliss.
Having these core acceptance levels in our hearts allow us freedom,
Allow us happiness,
Ananda,
Bliss.
So let's gently repeat Om Mukshah Ananda over and over,
Gently infusing our hearts,
Our bodies,
Our soul,
Our spirit with Om Mukshah Ananda.
Allow this healing vibration to provide you the emotional freedom that you need to have bliss,
Ananda,
In your life.
Om Mukshah Ananda.
Over and over,
Repeat it gently to yourself.
Om Mukshah Ananda.
Om Mukshah Ananda.
When you awaken,
Acceptance in your heart,
You finally recognize that whatever you are,
Wherever you are,
Every moment of the past is carved in stone and for you to evolve your life,
Improve your situation,
Or find deeper fulfillment,
You must own the present moment.
Just the way it is,
Just the way it's happening right now.
It's perfect in every way.
Right now,
Let's take a moment to take a deep breath in and release.
One more time,
Deep breath in and release.
Let's allow Om Mukshah Ananda to settle in,
Just for a few moments.
And we're going to seal this meditation by chanting one time the hymn of the universe together.
And let's put our hands together to our heart center and gently say Namaste.
I honor the divine light in you that is also in me and when you're in that space and I'm in that space,
We are one.
