O que você irá aprender
This is a four-part course - Building the Foundation of a Meditation Practice. This course is intended as a follow-on to Making Meditation a Habit but It can be a stand-alone course in itself. You can do it in your own time - daily, weekly, whatever works for you. The first part is creating a manageable, achievable goal by starting small. The second is finding the time and how to integrate your meditation practice into your daily routine. The third part is basic techniques and postures that support your practice to increase your likelihood of success. The final part looks at meditation practices you can begin with and how to get support.

Lição 1
Keeping It Real
If you’re new to meditation, it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. Where do you begin? How will you fit your practice into your routine? Although meditation is simple, it isn’t always easy. You might think, “It’s easy to sit still for half an hour.” But when you start it often isn’t as easy as you’d expect.
Lição 2
Finding Time In Your Day
Once you’ve decided how long you want to sit and meditate, the next step is how to integrate it into your daily life. How and when does this consistently work for you and your lifestyle? What could hinder this?
Lição 3
Basic Techniques And Postures
Once you’ve chosen a time, the question is what kind of meditation will you do. Before you start meditating, set yourself up in a good posture. Experiment with different postures. You can sit on a chair, kneel on a cushion or stool.

Getting Support
When you’re starting out, it’s a good idea to use a guided meditation. On Insight Timer there are thousands of options with different teachers. You might also join a local group or centre and use Insight Timer to support your practice between classes.
