This is a great practice to use in the morning. It allows you to plant your intentions for the day and to set a positive trajectory. Mantra: So hum – I am. Karen is a certified Master of Wisdom and meditation teacher through davidji Academy. Music by Chris Collins Photo by Ykaiavu

Hello,

This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation.

Today we're going to practice a morning meditation to open our heart,

To set an intention,

Provide a positive trajectory for your day.

Let's begin by settling in,

Allowing your body to be as comfortable as it allows you to.

And let's begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose and releasing.

Let's do that one more time,

Deep breath in and release.

And continue to breathe gently,

Slowly in your nose and either out your mouth or out your nose,

Whatever feels comfortable to you.

And let's bring some attention to our face,

To our brow area,

Making sure that you're releasing any tension,

Any stressors.

Let's move down to your eyes,

Relax your eyes,

Don't strain them as they are closed.

Unclench your jaw.

Relax your shoulders away from your ears,

Allow them to relax,

Leaning in towards comfort,

Allowing all tension to melt away.

And continue to breathe normally in and out.

Your body should be a little bit more relaxed,

Your mind should be slowing down just a little bit.

Let's just flow here for just a few moments.

Witness your body,

Witness your breath.

Now let's begin our dialogue with the universe by asking three sacred questions.

First,

Let's ask,

Who am I when I'm at my best?

Who am I when I'm at my best?

And if at any time there are no answers to these questions,

That's okay.

Don't resist.

Just gently repeat,

Who am I when I'm at my best?

Next let's ask,

What am I grateful for today?

And who am I grateful for today?

What am I grateful for today and who am I grateful for today?

Allow this gratitude list to run,

To embrace your heart.

What are you thankful for today and who are you thankful for today?

Next let's ask,

What does my heart truly long for?

And you can place your hand towards your heart,

Allowing those answers to bubble up.

What does your heart truly long for?

What does it want?

What does it need?

What does it desire?

Know that you are so worthy of these desires,

Of these needs.

Allow those answers to bubble up.

And now let's place an intention,

A state of mind,

A state of being,

An action step,

One step closer to get into your heart's desires,

Your heart's needs.

Allow that intention to come to your mind's eye.

Maybe it's to have more acceptance in your life,

Maybe it's more gratitude.

Whatever that is,

It's perfect.

And once you're clear with that intention,

We're going to plant it deep in the fertile soil of your heart.

Let's take a deep breath in and allow that intention to plant deep in your heart,

In your loving,

Compassionate heart.

And we're letting it go to the universe.

There's nothing left to do.

You've planted it there.

It's perfect.

We will allow the universe to work out all the details.

And now we're going to water this intention by using a mantra,

So Hum,

So Hum.

I am.

Gently repeat the mantra over and over.

So Hum.

And if at any time you have any physical sensations,

Noises or thoughts come into your space,

That's okay.

Don't resist.

Allow it.

And then gently go back to So Hum.

So Hum.

I am.

So Hum.

So Hum.

I am.

So Hum.

So Hum.

I am whole.

So Hum.

I am love.

I am loved.

So Hum.

I am peace.

So Hum.

I am whole.

So Hum.

I am worthy.

So Hum.

I am.

So Hum.

Now allow So Hum to penetrate every part of your body,

Of your mind,

Of your heart,

Of your spirit,

Of your soul.

And now repeat after me.

I am whole.

I am love.

I am loved.

I am peace.

I am whole.

I am love.

I am loved.

I am peace.

Now let's take a deep breath in and release.

Let's do that one more time.

Deep breath in and release.

And let's seal this meditation,

Your intention,

Your wholeness by chanting one time the hymn of the universe,

Aum together.

Take a deep breath in.

Aum.

And gently pull your hands together to your heart center and say Namaste.

I honor the divine light in you that is also in me.

And when you're in that space and I'm in that space,

We are one.

Namaste.

This is Karen with Open Lotus Meditation,

Sending you love and light.
