Gratitude For What Feels Good
This meditation brings you into your heart as it truly feels today, without pressure to change anything. You’ll gently acknowledge any natural longing to feel differently while turning toward what already feels good in your life, even in small and subtle ways. Through breath and honest awareness, you’ll explore the space between how things are and how you’d like them to be, creating room for warmth, gratitude, and inner steadiness to rise from within.

Welcome.
I'm glad you're here with me at Be With Melinda.
Let's take a slow breath to begin.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Bring your awareness to your heart at the center of your chest.
Notice how it feels today.
Perhaps it's open.
Perhaps guarded.
Perhaps it's tired.
Hopeful.
Restless.
Soft.
Or still waking up.
Whatever you find is real and it's allowed.
Inhale.
Noticing.
Exhale.
Accepting.
Now gently acknowledge a truth we all share.
We often look outside ourselves for what we're craving.
More connection.
More reassurance.
More ease.
More love.
More this.
More that.
You know the drill.
That longing isn't wrong.
It's simply the heart wanting to feel a certain way.
Take a breath and sense how you'd like your heart to feel.
Steady.
Open.
Soothed.
Energized.
Spacious.
Warm.
Whatever you name,
Feel it in your heart.
Let that desired feeling drift into your awareness without pressure.
Inhale.
Welcoming the desire.
Exhale.
Softening around it.
Now allow your attention to move toward what feels genuinely good in your life however it arrives.
A comforting moment.
A sensation that brings ease.
Someone who steadies you.
A memory that warms you.
A truth inside yourself that feels right.
Let these good feelings come naturally without choosing or searching.
As each good feeling appears,
Let your heart cradle it.
Deep breath in.
Let the warmth expand.
A slow breath out.
Let it settle.
Feel how good these moments begin to fill your heart from the inside.
Not to erase your longing,
But to support it.
To show your heart that it can hold both where you are and where you want to be.
Inhale.
Receiving what feels good now.
Exhale.
Releasing the pressure to find it elsewhere.
Let your heart soften into this gentle fullness.
A quiet blend of gratitude,
Yearning and possibility.
Take one more breath into the heart.
And exhale slowly.
Whenever you're ready,
Open your eyes gently.
Look around.
And embrace the beauty and the bliss of gratitude.
