Sashwa River of Stars is completely plant based. At Sashwa River of Stars, food is more than just nourishment—it is medicine, art, and a path to sustainability. Designed by Chef Arabella Parkinson of Eat to Thrive Consultancy, our food philosophy reflects a deep commitment to personal health and environmental stewardship. Chef Parkinson believes that our relationship with food is vital not only for individual well-being but also for the health of the planet. By crafting dishes that stimulate the senses with minimal environmental impact, we aim to inspire our guests to rethink their connection with food. At the heart of our philosophy lies a Circular Gastronomy approach, where local, seasonal and indigenous ingredients are celebrated and food waste is returned to the ecosystem to regenerate soil, mirroring the natural cycles of the environment. Nourishment with Purpose Each meal at Sashwa Lodge is carefully designed to ground and energize. We prioritize stabilizing blood sugar levels and sustaining energy through diverse plant proteins, whole foods, and high-fiber grains. Our menu is free from processed sugar, refined carbohydrates, and seed oils, ensuring a luxurious food experience that promotes personal health. Made entirely from scratch, our menu focuses on reducing waste and packaging where possible while celebrating a high-end culinary journey.

Schedule

Our days will be focussed on soulful wilderness experiences and conscious connection group sessions. Soulful Wilderness Experiences: We spend several hours each day out in the wild on both gentle walks and scenic drives. This time is about gathering experiences, not chasing sightings. It’s about slowing down, sharpening our awareness and feeling the land. As day breaks, we tune into the pace of nature through guided shamanic journey meditations and set an intention for our explorations - hearing with our feet, walking with our ancestors, tuning into the sounds of nature and connecting with trees. Conscious Connection: During the day, we balance time together in structured retreat activities with free time to rest and reflect. Our nourishing coaching experiences are designed to reveal and inspire a feeling of greater connectedness, and work to deepen our wilderness experiences. We begin our first day with consciously decelerating, settling into our journey and allowing our nervous system to settle in preparation for our first venture into the bush. Our second day brings us into flow which we are exploring through various states, including play, curiosity and multi-sensory observation, concluding with a fire celebration . We conclude our journey on day three by integrating the presence of deep connection we have attained and weaving it into our daily lives.

Testimonials

info

I have met a lot of people along my personal healing journey, but no one quite like Kerstin. She has proven to be one of the most insightful and compassionate healers I have worked with. Her guidance has been wise, gentle and firm - always in accordance to what the current path needs. I'm beyond grateful to have found her and cannot recommend working with her highly enough!

A.O., South Africa

Kerstin is an amazing healer, and I've experienced deep transformations in large part due to the work we've done together. I've done many sessions with her and I'm often amazed at what comes up as she often confirms messages I have been receiving as well. For example, about 15 minutes prior to our second session, I had pulled a card from a deck that was referencing the stone, jade. When she was downloading me on what came up and what was cleared, she shared how I was being surrounded in a jade egg and literally reinforced what I had read on the card. It was wild, and proved to me that she's the real deal! Kerstin has cleared so many blocks, past lifetimes, karma, things that cause me to self-sabotage, etc. using various modalities. I feel very grateful to have her as a resource and support, and recommend her without hesitation.

J.G., United States
