Hello!

My name is Eden and I am a Reiki Master,

Meditation Guide,

And Forever Student.

And today we are going to be embarking on an hour-long Reiki session intended for regulation.

Regulation of the body,

The mind,

The soul,

The spirit.

Regulation of how we are in relation to one another,

Community,

Connection.

So if regulation is something that you are seeking out,

Desiring today,

Go ahead and find yourself in a comfy,

Cozy place.

Maybe that's still in bed,

Maybe that's laying on a yoga mat or on the couch with a fuzzy blanket.

No wrong answers here,

Just starting to create your own little nest that feels safe,

Secure,

Calm,

And familiar.

And together we'll take a deep breath in through the nose,

And sigh it out the mouth.

Two more just like that.

In through the nose,

And sigh it out the mouth.

Shoulders move away from the ears.

In through the nose,

And sigh it out.

Just one more.

Good.

And just releasing that,

Letting the breath move in and out as it so pleases now.

Just starting to let your body settle in.

Maybe that necessitates a few final movements before allowing rest to get closer to your system.

Maybe that looks like imagining all of the muscles gently peeling away from the bone,

And elongating the spine.

Maybe it looks like imagining you are melting into your support system beneath you.

You're starting to presence the body.

And a part of presencing the body is in noticing the breath.

The breath as this incredible tool and supportive system that always exists within us,

Yet something we also have a say in,

That we can control.

That's the intersection that is integral to embodiment.

This recognition of the pieces of ourselves that are always online,

But that we can also shift with our intentions when we become aware.

So for now just noticing the breath.

Gently tracing the breath in and out of the body.

No need to judge or shift or change.

Just watching.

Maybe you start to pick up on a texture of the breath.

Maybe a color.

Noticing how deep the breath travels,

How wide the breath goes.

Maybe noticing any little hiccups in the breath as it moves in and out.

Where does the breath travel to first?

What about last,

Right before the exhale?

Where does the inhale not travel to?

Just noticing.

And perhaps noticing now that just by bringing your awareness to the breath,

Something about the breath has already shifted.

Maybe the texture has changed.

Maybe the breaths are longer,

Wider.

Maybe those little hiccups have shrunk.

Maybe the color has changed.

Again,

Just noticing.

And letting this soft yet strong power of awareness be proven in this moment.

That just by turning your inner eye to something,

It shifts.

Where awareness goes,

Energy flows.

Softening into that.

And gently releasing your awareness.

And settling into your body even more now.

And having been in deeper communion with the breath,

Maybe noticing a veil separating you from the present moment that has been lifted.

Finding yourself even closer to the present.

Softening into it.

And noticing that the second you try to label the present as the present,

Ooh,

There it is,

I'm so close.

That removes you from the next present moment.

So leaving that logical labeling brain to the side.

Dropping your mind into your heart space.

And exercising presence from that place.

From heart center out.

And moving that awareness into the heart space.

Specifically now to feel that heartbeat.

Another piece of your physiology that is inherent to you being you.

Yet does not even scratch the surface of all that you are.

Just feeling that cadence within your chest.

Softening all the little muscles right around the heart.

So that you can feel that heartbeat just a little more.

Just a little easier.

And perhaps you start to soften those muscles even more.

So you start to let the heartbeat be felt even further away from the heart.

Feeling the heartbeat radiating all the way out into the armpits,

The shoulders.

Feeling that heartbeat radiating up into the throat,

The mouth.

Feeling that heartbeat radiate further down into the ribs,

The low belly,

The hips.

Softening,

Opening,

Allowing yourself to feel that heartbeat further.

And you continue softening the body so that you feel that heartbeat now radiating all the way down into the fingertips.

All the way up to the crown of the head.

And all the way down,

Down,

Down to the soles of the feet and the toes.

Softening,

Opening,

Soaking in this feeling,

Whatever is right here for you in this moment.

And with your next exhale,

Gently letting that focus go.

Slowly maneuvering your awareness into a restful,

Calm place within you.

Letting your inner eye,

Your awareness just rest.

Knowing that we will call on that superpower of yours again.

And for now,

It can be at peace as we open the rest of our session by ushering in the Reiki symbols and clearing this day,

This timeline,

This connection.

So just allowing yourself to soften and open even more now,

Finding the mind and body unwound.

And the visual that's coming through right now is hmm,

Well imagining a coil around the body,

Winding from the root up to the crown.

And from the ribcage to the throat,

The left side of that coil is removed.

The semicircle is just not present.

Just working now to tie all of those loose ends back together into this cycle,

This supportive cycle that links the whole energy channel.

And that left side of the body being that feminine side,

Creative,

Emotional,

Nuanced.

And especially around that heart area being removed.

There's an invitation there to consider your own relationship with creativity and love and grace.

And allowing the totality of the nuanced,

Which can often come through as the unknown,

To be just as true and important and worthwhile as concrete information,

As logic,

As understanding.

Because without this feminine,

Creative,

Heart-centered space,

You don't have wonder as accessible.

And wonder is its own life force.

We're just letting your heart receive any messages about your relationship to wonder right now.

Maybe there's something that you need.

Maybe there's something that's ready to be released.

How can you offer your system more wonder?

And with this lens of wonder and regulation,

There's this reminder here that wonder offers our system regulation because it's a safe and almost action-free way of discharging energy.

When we can be stuck in these old patterns or cycles or behaviors or memories,

Taking a step sideways into wonder can be a place to regulate from.

That's supportive,

That's safe,

That's still yours.

We're letting yourself wonder a few things here now.

And releasing the expectation that you might know the answer.

And embracing the truth that you may never know,

But the act of wondering is the purpose,

Is the answer.

And gently letting your focus on this wonder go.

And gently,

Slowly finding your way back into that quiet,

Restful place within you,

Where your awareness can rest.

And as I trace the energy down the main energy channel along the spine,

At the very,

Very bottom,

I met with a knot,

Almost like a knot in the bottom of a rope.

That maybe we've used in gym class,

Something to stand on so we can start climbing.

Also often used in sport climbing,

So that you don't fall off the bottom of the rope.

There's safety in that knot.

There's support in that knot.

And energetically,

This knot keeps us from connecting from what is beyond and below.

Especially with the lens of regulation,

Connecting to the earth is incredibly supportive.

In this pursuit,

We're just unwinding that knot now.

Allowing yourself to feel well-resourced within your own system.

Knowing that you can stand up,

You can be supported,

You cannot fall off.

On your own.

And that your energetic tether,

Your energetic tie is better suited linking to the world beneath and beyond.

Almost like taking off the training wheels.

Ready to grow,

Ready to shine,

Ready to fly.

It's hard to do those things with a tether.

I'm starting to imagine a brilliant golden light in the center of the heart.

And just taking a few breaths to nourish the light.

Watching it grow and shine brighter,

Just by feeding off of the breath.

And now this brilliant golden light moves down,

Turning into a beam of light still anchored at the heart.

But traveling down through the ribcage,

Through the belly,

Through the pelvis,

Through the soles of the feet,

And out.

And this brilliant gold light travels down through the floor,

Through the foundation,

Into the ground,

The earth,

And through the crust of the earth.

And all the way down,

Down,

Down,

Through the mantle and into the core.

The very center of this planet.

And this brilliant golden light joins with the core of the earth,

So that they become indistinguishable of one another.

And the earth says,

My child,

Please take whatever you need,

Knowing there will be enough.

When used in good faith,

When brought back with intention.

So taking a moment and just gathering up some energy from the core of the earth,

Thanking it,

Trusting it,

And bringing up some fresh energy in the form of more golden light.

Beyond the core,

Up through the mantle,

Through the crust,

Into the earth,

The ground.

Back up through the foundation,

Through the floor,

And into you,

Through the soles of the feet.

And this refreshed light travels up through the legs,

Through the hips,

All the way through the chest,

The throat,

The head,

The crown.

And this light continues to travel.

And this brilliant golden light,

This thread continues to travel up through the roof,

Into the sky,

The atmosphere,

Space.

And through this galaxy and onto the next.

Imagining this brilliant golden light traveling further and further until you just cannot imagine any further.

And taking a slow,

Deep breath into the body,

Seeing yourself from above with this beautiful golden light anchored in the core of the earth,

Traveling through you and all the way through the cosmos.

And gently,

With your next exhale,

Letting that visual go.

Taking another slow,

Deep breath into this body that's right here.

And noticing the softened edges of the body.

Noticing the breath filling you up even more.

Knowing that the earth and the stars are always here for you.

To support,

To hold,

To give to.

To take love from.

Letting that be just as true as anything else that has ever been.

And then slowly,

Gently making your way back into that restful,

Calm,

Quiet place within you.

Where your awareness lives.

And being called now to the shoulders.

And you can start to bring your awareness there.

Just noticing what's alive in both shoulders today.

And the visual that's coming through here is almost like bellows.

Like one shoulder opens,

The other one closes,

And vice versa.

Moving oppositely.

And the shoulders being a place where many of us carry stress,

Especially this day and age with technology,

With working at desks,

With our posture being a little more hunched.

It's this masculine place of carrying stress,

Of the weight of the world.

Especially as it teeters between the left side and the right side.

It's this emotional,

Mental,

And then the logical.

And then the emotional,

Mental,

And then the logical.

This dance between the two.

As we sort out how to care while also creating boundaries that serve us.

How to be enraptured with the world while also witnessing it.

How to participate but also be able to take a step back and re-evaluate what's in our locus of control.

This dance.

And the message here is just a reminder to not separate.

That we can be all at once.

That we can always be shifting,

Re-evaluating,

Changing.

That being right is such a little thing.

And the more we soften and stay open to reality as it shows up today,

The stronger we'll be.

The deeper capacity we'll have.

The wholeness that we'll experience.

Knowing that no part of us is right or wrong.

But that it's all situational and it's all just information as we keep learning ourselves and the world around us.

So that we can do the next right thing.

Remembering that this desire to regulate,

This rightness,

Regulation is not the same as balance or symmetry.

Regulation is this inherent ability to take in any amount of shifting information.

And to hold it in such a way where whatever comes out afterwards is supportive and has the whole in mind.

As the inputs are always changing with the world around us.

And as the outputs always shift too.

As we constantly need different things from ourselves,

From our relationships,

From our surroundings.

It's just this ability to be your own catalyst of change.

Taking in what's important,

Leaving the rest.

And integrating it into your current experience.

Knowing that that too will always be shifting.

So taking a few slow deep breaths into the body.

Softening into this idea,

This concept.

Perhaps there was a visual that came in for you as well.

Softening to that.

This is the embodiment.

Softening the physical body as we usher in.

New ideas or old remembrances.

Softening,

Opening.

Making sense of all the information that comes in.

Making sense of it through your lens and no one else's.

Standing true in you.

And if you haven't already,

Just letting yourself move back into that calm,

Quiet place within you.

Softening,

Opening.

And moving now to the crown of the head.

The temples,

The ears.

You're welcome to bring your awareness there or just stay in that restful,

Observant place.

In the crown there is this iris flower that just blossomed,

That just unfurled.

This beautiful springtime bloom.

One of the first pieces of art that our ecosystem gets after winter comes to a close.

And perhaps that is you too.

With this regulated system,

There's a natural opening,

Unfurling,

Blooming that happens.

This leadership energy.

It's affirmed,

It's strong,

It's feminine.

It's clear,

It's clear,

It's clear.

It's clear,

It's paving her way.

This idea too that what if excuses and solutions took the same amount of energy and it was too much.

Shifting that own internal energy system towards solutions.

Naturally realigns the rest of the system and regulates without a pointed intention of regulating.

It's almost as if a needle gets moved in that decision to provide yourself solutions over excuses.

It opens up the system,

It removes a block.

So just asking yourself what excuses are still alive in your life and what would shifting those into solutions really mean for you?

What would that look like?

How would it feel?

How can you find familiarity in the solutions too?

And with this clarity,

There's space to bloom.

With this regulation,

There's a knowing that we can never waste energy.

And it's all clear,

That it's all intended,

That it's all a lesson if we let it be.

And starting to bring that awareness now to the tip of your nose.

And just by using your awareness,

Just by asking this of your body,

With the next inhale,

Inhaling just through the left nostril.

And the exhale travels out through the right nostril.

Inhale through the right.

And exhale out the left.

Inhale left,

Exhale right,

Inhale right and exhale left.

Continuing on that breath pattern for a few minutes here.

Knowing there's no rush,

Letting your breath be your guide.

Maybe it feels really nourishing to hold the breath at the top or the bottom.

Maybe it feels good to imagine the inhale moves all the way up to the crown and back out.

Maybe with each exhale,

You soften the entire body.

Again,

Taking a moment to relax all the little muscles in the face that have tensed back up while continuing this breath pattern.

And with the final exhale out the left nostril,

Gently letting that breath pattern go.

Taking a deep breath in and out through both nostrils.

Lifting the chin ever so slightly to open the throat.

And relaxing back down and in,

Into that quiet,

Calm place within you.

And just really allowing yourself to be right here.

What's here?

Can you nurture that?

Softening,

Opening,

Being right here.

And just taking a few more slow,

Deep breaths into the body,

Into what's right here.

Being nowhere else.

And gently,

Expanding that awareness now so that you start to tap back into the four corners of your room,

Knowing exactly where they are without needing to open the eyes.

Feeling the floor beneath,

The ceiling above.

Being held in your space,

Knowing exactly where you are.

And starting to bring a little movement into the toes,

The fingers,

Maybe the head.

Coming back to this body with this experience,

In this moment,

In this place.

And whenever you are ready to bring all of these pieces back into this day,

You can softly usher light back in by blinking your eyes open.

Welcome back.
