In this theory lesson we look at your relationship with sleep and what that means. We also look at the necessary foundation to ensure a good quality rest, in consideration of the mechanical body, the chemistry of the body as well as the psychological component.

Good Sleep Preparation

In this lesson we work through 4 techniques which assist the body and mind to release the day and wind down before moving into a sleeping position. I invite you to experience these techniques while listening to this guide so you can know firsthand how your body responds before deciding which one/s to use for yourself.

Sleep Time Techniques

In this lesson we work through 3 techniques that you can use when in bed. You may fall asleep while using these, that's ok. These techniques can all be used prior to falling asleep and/or if you have woken mid-sleep.

Helen offers first a foundation and then techniques that signal the body and mind that it’s time for sleep. Are they effective? I’ve had to listen to each section multiple times because I keep falling asleep as I follow along. Thank you, Helen!

Accent hard to understand at times

All of the techniques taught in this course truly are simple. I look forward to using them not only at bedtime but for when I awake mid-night. I fall asleep no problem and sometimes wake 3-4 hours later. I often do what you suggested and stay lying in bed, and I do find it really interesting that I feel rested once I get out of bed in the morning. Now during that lying awake time somewhere around 1-3am, I will try some of the techniques, especially the hands on the belly and chest areas. Thank you so much!
