The large intestine organ and meridian are part of the process of letting go of that which is no longer needed. In this short meditation, we use an intention that is aligned with supporting the large intestine's physical and metaphysical function. To open up and activate the large intestine you can engage in the pose demonstrated in the picture of this audio guide. And remember to breathe deeply for the lungs are partner to the large intestine. Thus, coupling the lung meridian affirmation with this practice will support the large intestine and vice versa. Enjoy!

Transcript

Welcome to your meditation for your large intestine meridian.

Let's take a deep inhalation and then allowing the breath to gently ease out of the body.

Internally instructing all the muscles of the body to relax.

Instructing the facial muscles to relax.

And setting the intention for all thoughts to be paused and full awareness to be placed on the whole self.

And take a moment now to connect with your large intestine.

When the energies of the large intestine meridian are in their flow,

The waste from the body is easily and naturally sorted from what needs to be reabsorbed and that which is no longer needed is released back into the world.

And that is the focus for the affirmation that we're going to be using right now.

If your eyes aren't already closed,

Allow them to become heavy,

Allowing the body to sink down.

See if you can take your relaxation just that little bit deeper.

Taking one more inhalation as we prepare the body and then sigh out.

Just allowing the breath now to flow in its natural rhythm.

As we repeat this affirmation for the large intestine meridian together.

I gently release that which is ready to be transformed into something new.

I gently release that which is ready to be transformed into something new.

I gently release that which is ready to be transformed into something new.

I gently release that which is ready to be transformed into something new.

And then you can repeat it internally once more on your own.

And then you can repeat it internally once more on your own.

Giving thanks now for the large intestine physically and metaphysically.

And then bringing attention to the whole body.

Feeling life throughout the whole body.

You gently start to move any areas of the body.

Putting attention on the breath,

Slowly opening the eyes and bringing a smile to your lips.
