Welcome to this gentle bilateral stimulation experience designed to support calm,
Grounding and nervous system regulation.
For an optimal experience we recommend using headphones.
Take a moment now to get comfortable either lying down or seated and allow your body to settle.
Taking a slow breath in and a longer slower breath out.
There is nothing you need to fix,
Nothing you need to work through,
We're just allowing for your system to slow down.
Bringing awareness into your body,
Noticing where you feel supported,
The surface beneath you and all the places where it is touching your body.
Let your breath be natural,
Let it flow in and out gently,
Slowly.
You are here and you are safe in this moment.
Allow your attention to gently follow the sound.
There's no need to do this perfectly,
You're just noticing and allowing your body to respond in its own way.
If your mind wanders,
Gently return back to the sound.
As the sound continues to alternate,
Notice any subtle shifts in your body,
Perhaps the shoulders soften,
The jaw releases,
The breath deepens on its own.
There's nothing to force,
We're simply allowing the nervous system to regulate and giving it the space to do so.
Continue to follow the rhythm of the sound,
Staying present and allowing any emotions that come forward,
Anything that needs to be released,
You can let go of.
You are safe in this moment.
You are allowed to slow down.
Your body knows how to find balance.
You are allowed to rest.
You can give yourself permission to settle completely.
There's nothing more you need to do.
I'm just starting to bring awareness back to your whole body.
Noticing the room around you,
The temperature of the air,
The surface beneath you.
Gently wiggling your fingers and toes.
And whenever you're ready,
Opening your eyes.
You can return to this practice anytime you feel overwhelmed,
Overstimulated or in need of grounding.
