Hello and welcome to this guided meditation for affirmations during pregnancy.
This recording has been created with the intention to set your mind at ease,
To help calm your nervous system and prepare yourself for birth in a really gentle,
Safe and nourishing space.
These affirmations have been received intuitively,
But we've also been fortunate enough to have some kind contributions from mothers,
Doulas,
Birth workers that have some powerful affirmations they wish to share.
And so let's begin by getting comfortable,
Maybe curling up on your side with a pillow between your knees,
Or maybe lying on your back is still feeling comfortable for you.
Whatever position you choose,
Please place one hand on the belly,
Connecting to your womb and to your baby,
Making contact with this magical and powerful container that is your body,
This sacred vessel.
Maybe you want to place your other hand on your heart and just begin to take a few deep breaths,
Becoming more grounded,
Present.
You're probably feeling like you have so much that you need to be doing,
So many preparations,
Tasks that need to be done in order to be ready for when baby arrives earthside.
But you've chosen this moment to carve out some time for you and the baby.
And so let's allow ourselves to let go of those to-do lists,
Those preparations,
The desire to nest,
And let's prioritize coming into a state of balance and ease and of reassurance of any anxieties that might be taking up more space than necessary.
And so before we begin listening to some beautiful affirmations,
I invite you to take this moment to connect with your baby.
You might even be able to begin to feel movement the moment your awareness draws down into your womb.
And as you breathe,
Your palm is pressing against your stomach.
Just take a moment to send some gratitude to your body and its ability to grow life,
To keep your baby safe and nourished within your body until it is ready to become part of this world,
Moving from your sacred space within the womb.
Within this space of deep gratitude,
You might begin to feel a smile,
Just a gentle upturn of the corners of your mouth and allowing that smile to not only grace your face,
But feeling that smile deep down into the core of your being.
This gentle feeling of pure happiness,
Contentment,
And taking a deep breath,
Sharing this moment of gratitude and happiness with your baby,
With yourself,
And allowing the moment to just be here together.
And so let's begin.
I am honoring my body and its preparations for birth.
I am strong,
Courageous,
And brave.
My body is designed to care for and nourish my baby.
I am preparing my nervous system for a calm and peaceful birthing experience.
I trust the divine timing of this pregnancy and of when my baby wishes to be born.
I trust my body and the messages it sends me during my pregnancy.
I listen and embrace the intuitive nature that is motherhood.
My baby is healthy and happy.
With each breath,
I let go of any worries or anxieties around pregnancy and birth experience.
I honor my body's need for rest.
I am going to be a wonderful mother.
When I am feeling peaceful and protected,
So is my baby.
I celebrate the changes that my body is going through.
My body knows exactly what to do.
I know what is best for me and my baby.
I am surrounded by unconditional love and support.
I have more than enough strength to do this.
My body is magical.
Pregnancy and birth is allowed to be a blissful experience.
I choose bliss for my pregnancy and my birth.
I soften into the process of learning and understanding my needs and the needs of my baby.
I am empowered to take action on the things I can control and I release the things that I cannot.
I am not alone.
I am going to be a wonderful mother.
I love my body.
I honor the sacred changes that I am going through.
This pregnancy and birth is filled with safety and softness.
I accept help from others.
My baby can feel how much I love them.
My baby will be born at exactly the right time.
My baby will find the perfect position when it chooses to be born.
I will produce plenty of milk for my baby.
My breast milk comes in with ease.
My baby feeds with ease.
I am moving into a place of acceptance that not everything can be or needs to be perfect.
I trust the divine timing and the divine process.
I am safe.
I am allowed to express my fears.
I feel confident and safe enough to express my concerns.
With every passing day I feel more empowered at becoming a mother and knowing what is best for me and my baby.
I do not have to love all of the changes I am going through but I will respect and honor the process of creation that is happening within me.
I nourish not only my body but also my mind.
I feel the bond between myself and my baby grow stronger every day.
I surround my mind,
Myself and my baby with protective white light.
My body knows what to do.
I am not striving for perfection and I allow myself to be messy.
I am so proud of myself.
When my mind is relaxed,
My body is relaxed.
I surrender to the process.
I am confident in asking for what I need.
I am calm in my preparations for the birth space and birth experience.
I am open to changing my mind.
I trust my birth support team.
I have healthy and strong boundaries with family and friends for when the baby is born.
I am so,
So capable.
I believe in myself.
My body is capable of far more than I can imagine.
My body is a sacred vessel and I honor it as such.
My baby is healthy.
I am healthy.
I am blessed and grateful to be on this journey to become a mother.
You are invited to take some time now to write your own affirmations for your birthing journey.
These affirmations might be for pregnancy or maybe you want some to have in your birth space to help encourage and support you through labor and know that you can return to these supportive affirmations whenever you have need.
Whenever you have some spare time to look after yourself,
Mind,
Body and baby.
Trust in your body's wisdom and knowledge.
You know what is right for you,
Your baby and I send you many blessings on your journey to become a parent.
No rush.
Stay still and quiet.
Maybe even take a nap if you feel called to.
If your body is asking that of you.
And maybe use that time to think about the affirmations that resonated most for you.
Many blessings and I hope to see you here again soon.
