Worry and concern can consume our thoughts and make it hard to focus on the present moment.
This guided meditation is designed to help you release those worries and concerns and find a sense of peace and calm.
First find a quiet place where you can sit or lay down comfortably.
Then close your eyes and take a really deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
Let's continue this,
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
One more time.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Allow yourself to let go of any tension in your body.
We're going to start at the top of your head.
Imagine a warm soothing light flowing through your body and releasing any tension and stress as it goes down all the way through your toes.
Start from the top and let it flow down through your shoulders,
Your chest,
Your belly,
Your back,
Through your legs,
All the way down through your toes,
Releasing any tension and stress as it goes.
Now imagine yourself standing at the edge of a beautiful peaceful lake.
The water is calm and the sun is shining down on you,
Warming your skin.
And as you look out at the lake,
Imagine that all of your worries and concerns are floating away on the surface of the water.
Now focus on your breath and as you inhale,
Imagine that you are breathing in peace and calm.
And as you exhale,
Imagine that you are releasing any negative emotion or stress.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Imagine yourself walking along the edge of the lake.
The water is so clear that you can see the pebbles and rocks on the bottom.
And imagine that with each step you take,
You're leaving behind another negative thought or emotion.
And another one.
And another one.
Keep walking and leaving all those thoughts,
Emotions that are not serving you behind.
And as you walk,
You come across a small boat moored on the shore.
Imagine yourself getting into the boat and taking the oars.
And as you row out onto the lake,
The water becomes even more calm and still.
As you continue to row,
Imagine that you're moving further and further away from all of your worries and concerns.
Imagine that you're leaving them behind on the shore and that you're becoming more and more peaceful and calm with each stroke of the oars.
As you reach the center of the lake,
Imagine that you're surrounded by complete peace and tranquility.
Now take a few minutes to fully immerse yourself in this peaceful scene and allow yourself to relax and release any tension or strain,
Stress that you may be holding onto.
So when you feel ready,
Start slowly moving your fingers,
Your toes,
Your head,
And then slowly open your eyes and take a moment to return to your surroundings.
And remember that you can come back to this peaceful place any time you need to and that you're always in control of your own thoughts and emotions.
Now take a deep breath in and out and remember to continue to focus on your breath and release any negative thoughts or emotions throughout your day.
