Welcome to day four of the accept model.
And the fourth step in accepting a situation or a circumstance that you cannot change is to have expectations with compassion.
So please close your eyes.
Find a comfortable position.
And then take a deep breath in.
And out.
Two more.
One deep breath in,
And let go of everything that's holding you back right now,
That's occupying your mind and breathe out.
And one more last bread in,
And let go of everything else that's still running through your mind.
Now keep your eyes closed.
I will be saying some positive affirmations.
And first,
Just listen.
And then repeat them out loud,
One by one.
And I want you to notice what those statements do in your body when you say them out loud.
What do you feel?
What kind of thoughts are coming up?
Because you know,
Your mind and body are always communicating.
And whatever comes out,
Don't judge.
Just accept it.
With compassion.
Whatever comes up.
I am brave.
Please repeat out loud.
And feel what it does to your body,
What thoughts are coming up when you say these words.
I am happy to be here.
I am always learning.
I am an intelligent being.
I am proud of who I am.
I am happy.
I am responsible.
I am not in a race,
There is plenty of time.
I am strong.
I am going to get through this.
I am unique.
I am patient.
I am worthy.
I am lovable.
I am fun.
I am creative.
I am trustworthy.
I am a survivor.
I am loved.
I am me.
Now keep your eyes closed.
What is it that you need to hear right now?
Because we often have expectations of others to say what we want to hear.
But why not tell ourselves what we need to hear the most?
And can you create a positive I am statement that's supporting you with your thoughts?
And how can you remind yourself of this?
Do you need to write it down?
Make it the screensaver of your phone?
