Welcome to day one of the Accept Model.

And the first step in accepting a situation or a circumstance that you cannot change is to acknowledge it.

Acknowledge it without any judgment.

And that's not easy.

So today I'm going to take you through an exercise,

It's called the five senses,

To get you in the present moment and to look at the situation just as it is right now.

So let's begin.

Find a comfortable position and then close your eyes.

And let's start with three collective breaths.

Breathe in through your nose.

And breathe out through your mouth.

Breathe in through your nose.

And breathe out through your mouth.

One more time.

Good.

The best way to get really quick in the present moment is through your five senses.

So that's where we're going to start now.

And let's start with the hearing.

So see if you can hear a loud sound.

Maybe it's a dog running around in the house.

Maybe it's the wind around you if you're sitting in nature.

Listen to that loud sound without any judgment,

Just as it is.

And now focus on the sound that's really,

Really soft.

Find the sound that you can barely hear.

Maybe it's a bird in the background.

Maybe it's your own breathing.

Let's move to your touch.

What do you feel?

Sitting right now,

Maybe you feel a couch or a chair,

Or you feel your feet on the ground.

Notice how that feels.

Let's move on to your sight.

Even though your eyes are closed,

You might see some flashes of light,

Some colors.

What do you see?

Look at all these colors.

Again,

Don't try to judge them as beautiful or as dark or whatever comes up.

Just see them for what they are,

Colors.

Now let's move on to your smell.

What do you smell?

Is there a smell in your surroundings that you can pick up?

Or maybe your own perfume?

What do you smell?

Let's move on to your sense of taste.

What do you taste?

Maybe it's your meal or a snack that you just ate.

Or maybe you don't taste much,

Which is also fine.

And now we're going to combine all five senses together.

So hear what you're hearing.

Feel what you're feeling.

See what you're seeing.

Smell what you're smelling and taste what you're tasting.

Yay,

You did it.

Well done.

Now in your own time,

Slowly open your eyes.

And this is the perfect moment,

Being so much in the present,

To set an intention,

An intention for how you want to show up today.

A positive intention.

And I see you tomorrow for day two.
