Hey,
It's Melanie.
I want to talk to you today about something I've been thinking about for a long time.
Something I keep seeing over and over again in the wellness space,
In self-help books,
And a lot on social media.
It's this idea that we need to come back to ourselves,
That we need to reconnect,
Return home.
And honestly,
I don't agree.
You are not disconnected.
You are not lost.
You are not something out there waiting to be found.
You are already here.
The world has gotten really good at convincing us that we're broken,
That we've somehow left behind ourselves,
That if we buy a course,
Follow a guru,
Do a 21 day reset,
That we're going to finally feel whole again.
But here's the truth,
You're not missing.
You don't need to get back to anything.
You might feel tired,
Overwhelmed,
Overwhelmed,
Numb.
That doesn't mean you're disconnected.
That means you're human.
Living in a world that often makes it hard to hear your own voice.
But that voice,
It's still there.
Your sense of knowing it never left.
Your wisdom,
Still intact.
Your capacity for love,
Joy,
Insight,
Rest,
Already living inside of you.
There's nothing you need to return to.
There's no perfect version of you waiting at the end of a self improvement journey.
For me,
This has been one of the most powerful shifts,
And how I see myself and others.
That maybe we're not as far off course as we think.
Maybe we're not a project to be fixed.
Maybe we're already enough,
Already whole,
Already here.
So I'm not here to guide you back to yourself.
I'm here to remind you,
You never left.
