Good morning and welcome to a new day.
I invite you to find a comfortable seated position,
Whether that's on a chair or on the floor,
On a cushion,
Or maybe in your bed as you're waking up this morning.
Find your foundation,
Aligning your head over your heart,
Your heart over your pelvis,
Crown of your head tall,
Reaching toward the sky,
Shoulders relaxing away from the ears,
And your heart open forward.
As you settle in,
You might find gentle stretches in any way that feels good.
Maybe reaching your arms toward the sky,
Finding a side body stretch one side,
Then the other,
Rolling the head around in circles one way and the opposite direction,
Finding gentle movement,
Opening up in your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Maybe even your legs.
And when you feel comfortable,
Return to center,
Resting your hands gently to the sides,
On your lap,
Or placed on your heart.
I invite you to close your eyes or soften your gaze and start to bring attention to your breath.
Notice your inhale and your exhale,
Moving throughout your body.
As you inhale,
Find stillness and grounding,
And as you exhale,
Release any tension or stagnant energy from your rest the night before.
Bring awareness to the present moment without worrying about yesterday or tomorrow,
Simply focusing on right now.
As you continue to breathe,
Inhaling deeply and exhaling slowly,
I invite you to set an intention for your day today,
Answering the question,
How do you want to be or show up today?
You might think of one word or a phrase that captures how you want to show up for your day.
And as you settle on this intention,
I invite you to breathe it in and exhale it out.
Once more,
Inhaling that intention in and exhaling it out,
Confirming it,
That it's already done,
It's already happening,
You're already living it.
I invite you to hold onto this intention as you move throughout your day today,
Returning to your breath,
Returning to the present moment whenever you need to,
Whenever you have the time and space.
And we'll close this practice with three collective breaths together,
Sealing our intentions for the day ahead.
Inhaling deeply through the nose and exhaling slowly through the mouth.
Again,
Inhaling deeply and exhale,
Sighing it out.
Finally,
Inhaling the deepest breath of the day so far and exhale,
Sighing it out.
Thank you for allowing me to lead you in this practice.
I hope you have a beautiful and wonderful day.
Take good care,
Be well.
