In this course, you will learn to identify the root causes of mental and emotional challenges and, most importantly, discover ways to free yourself from common patterns that block your peace and happiness. The course will include simple, relatable examples alongside powerful lectures and practical guidance. You will receive suggestions to help interrupt mental patterns that contribute to distress, as well as reflections and guided meditations to support your integration and deepen your mindfulness and meditation practice—all with the goal of helping you experience peace in the present moment.


Meet your Teacher

Since 2004, Yonah has been guiding people from pain to peace and from there to thriving as a Counselor, Coach, Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher, and Business Wellness Consultant.   Yonah studied Behavioral and Social Psychology and received five years of Humanistic Counseling training from a psychologist taught by Carl Rogers, the key founder of the approach. Yonah has worked with thousands of clients from all walks of life, helping them move beyond inner blockages and optimize their lives. Yonah began his career working for several years as a counselor in emergency shelters supporting teen victims of abuse and neglect struggling with mental health and behavioral issues. In his second counseling role, he took a counseling position in a shelter he lived in for most of his senior year of high school to pay forward the gift he was given, a life worth living—to show the often lost and hopeless teens that if he could make it, they could too. Today, Yonah brings his expertise to businesses and organizations, teaching Mindfulness, Meditation, and Holistic Health. His clients include U.S. House of Representatives, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, Amtrak, The National Science Foundation, and Georgetown University. He also trains and facilitates private groups including Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and Edlavitch Jewish Community Center of Washington, DC. He also shares public offerings such as online trainings and courses and has designed programs for Insight Timer and Insight Meditation Community of Washington, DC (IMCW). As a coach, Yonah primarily supports business owners, executives, and entrepreneurs in breaking free from mental, emotional, and behavioral barriers to their desires. By synthesizing practices from wisdom traditions, modern science, and his own insights, he helps clients unlock peace, purpose, joy, and bliss. His work is rooted in deep listening and tailored guidance to meet each client’s unique needs.   Yonah has been studying, practicing, and teaching Mindfulness and Meditation for three decades. He learned from disciples of Sri Chinmoy and Dr. Tara Brach in Washington, DC and other luminaries in person and through continuous self-study and application. He has completed multiple Vipassana courses under S.N. Goenka, based on teachings of the Buddha rooted in 25 centuries of tradition alongside other extensive Mindfulness and Meditation trainings to expand his awareness and increase his effectiveness in imparting wise teachings supporting peace and freedom. Yonah leads drawing from thousands of hours of study, practice, instruction, and facilitation of Mindfulness and Meditation.   Yonah blends Western science and psychology with ancient Eastern and intuitive practices. His positive, holistic approach works with the fundamentals of the whole person.   Teaching from the core principle that we create our reality, Yonah helps people hone their personal power through mental, emotional, and physiological state shifting practices. Yonah helps people improve the quality of their lives through Mindfulness, Meditation, changing thinking and behavioral patterns, and practical action.

Rather than viewing the present as something to endure on the way to more desirable future moments, we will practice making peace with it as it is.

Building A Beautiful Future Now

In this class, you will practice aligning with the good you want to create now. You will do this by gaining clarity about what you truly want and by creating compelling visions that extend beyond the survival mind. With your energy aligned in the present moment with your heart's desires, and by cultivating gratitude, you can generate a sense of satisfaction and happiness in the here and now. We will also explore the quiet magic that arises from practicing kindness and seeking opportunities to be of service.

Mindfulness And Gratitude Meditation

This meditation is an opportunity to apply the tools of mindfulness and gratitude to improve your emotional experience. In this practice, you will be guided to shift from the challenges of the mind and emotional body toward a state of inner peace. You will also be encouraged to become more aware of your body and gently cultivate a sense of gratitude.

Being Present To Know Peace Now

In this class, we will explore how to shift from dwelling on a painful past or a fear-filled future to being present in the current moment in to know peace. We will practice gratitude to boost mood and develop positive thinking patterns that support happiness.

Love, Peace, And Bliss Meditation

This is a meditation focused on connecting to love, peace, and bliss, and includes a mindful body scan. It offers an opportunity to deepen your attention to what is here and now, to practice kindness toward yourself, and to recognize yourself as awareness itself.
