This is a short Embodiment Practice to support deepening your body awareness, feeling emotions as energy and sensations in the body, as well as tuning into your bodies natural wisdom. Use it any time to cultivate your capacity to meet what is alive inside of you right here, right now.

Transcript

Welcome to your feeling into the body practice.

This is to support body awareness,

Deepening attention,

And cultivating our capacity to really tune into the felt sense of emotions as energy and sensations in the body.

So finding a comfortable position to sit.

Something that allows your body to be both relaxed and awake and alive.

And begin by just finding your breath,

Feeling it in your body.

It might feel good to take in a full deep inhale through the nose and sigh it out the mouth.

It might feel good to take in some breaths in and out through the mouth,

Feeling them root down into your pelvis.

Just breathing here however feels good for your body right now.

Softening the face,

The jaw,

The chest,

The belly.

Inviting yourself here,

Letting go,

Setting aside what came before and what will come after.

Really dropping down into the body as you breathe.

And feeling where you meet the support underneath you.

Taking a few breaths into that support,

That felt sense of being held.

Inviting the body to settle down into that support a little more.

Trusting that the earth is holding you.

And now beginning to open up to what is alive in your body at the level of physical sensations.

So noticing temperature,

Noticing movement,

Noticing pressure.

Then you're just going to begin to let the body pull you,

Pull your awareness from sensation to sensation and from place to place inside your body.

And as you do this,

See if you can land where your body takes you.

So if it pulls you to a place,

Resting there for a minute,

If you can bring a hand to that area do so.

If not just rest your attention there and notice what is there.

Sensations,

Feelings,

Images.

And when you feel the urge to move on or the body pulls you somewhere else,

Just allow it to follow it to that next place and notice what you notice there.

So you're just allowing the body to take you from place to place and you're using your awareness and attention to drop in and really feel and notice what is there.

Moving at your own pace,

Following your own rhythm.

Trusting the body,

Trusting what you sense,

Opening to feelings,

Sensations,

Memories,

Images,

But always returning back to the felt sense in the body.

You might notice what these places feel like.

Do they have a color,

A texture?

What is the quality?

Always deepening the body awareness,

Deepening the attention and curiosity to what is here.

You might also notice if this place has a message or words or a belief or narrative and perhaps something might arise within you that feels like it needs to be given to this place.

And you can continue to do this for as long as you want.

You can come back to this practice on your own,

Continuing to meet yourself and meet life in your body as a body right here,

Right now.

When you choose to end this practice,

Give yourself time to rest and to integrate and to absorb this practice,

Letting it sink into your bones.

So just practicing this art form,

Knowing that it takes time and the body opens at the pace that it does.

So continuing to follow the body to notice what is here.
