Welcome.
So you can do this meditation seated or laying down,
Really listening to what your body desires as you just begin to settle into your practice.
Taking some easy breaths into the body.
If it feels good to exhale or sigh out the mouth,
You can do so.
Just beginning to slow everything down.
Releasing and letting go of what came before and what will come after.
Breathing and letting the sand begin to settle.
Softening the jaw,
The face,
The chest,
The belly.
Allowing the eyes to rest.
And letting your breath find a natural rhythm now as you follow that wave in your body,
Noticing the quality of your breath as you float on its rhythm.
Dropping your awareness down to where you meet the earth,
To where you touch the support underneath you.
Letting your body melt into the earth as she comes up to meet you.
Believe that support.
Softening into the earth as you remember that she is always there,
Always holding and supporting you.
I'm beginning to open yourself and your senses to the mystery of this here and now moment.
We have the capacity to slow down,
To meet ourselves,
To settle into the moment and fully come here now.
Allowing your center of gravity to drop out of the field of thinking and down into the aliveness of the body,
Tuning into the physical sensations.
What is alive in my body,
Directly contacting the life that is here.
Noticing sensation,
Temperature,
Pressure,
Movement,
Opening to whatever is here.
Tracking these sensations in the body,
Slowing down and tuning in.
Connecting to yourself in this deep,
Intimate way.
If the energy gets pulled up into the thinking,
Just be curious and kind as you gently drop the miracle of your attention back down into the body,
Breathing with whatever is here.
There's nowhere to get to,
There's nothing to achieve.
You don't have to fix or change or make anything better or different.
Just softening and opening and being with yourself.
And once again,
Allowing your awareness to drop into the earth.
Really feeling the support,
Letting the whole body melt as you receive this gift of being held by life.
And you can stay here for as long as you desire,
Taking this gift of slowing down with you throughout your day.
Namaste.
