Hello and welcome to your gratitude practice.
Finding a comfortable place to sit,
Something that allows your body to be comfortable and relaxed but also alive and awake.
Let's begin by taking a few generous breaths into the body.
It might feel nice to sigh out the mouth to make some sound,
Just letting this breath bring you here.
Letting the body move in any way that feels supportive,
Maybe bringing some movement into the face,
The jaw,
Maybe rocking side to side on your sit bones,
Feeling your spine.
Just taking your time here to slowly arrive.
What if there was no rush to get here,
To be present,
To drop in?
What if you could allow your body the time that it needs?
Giving it breath,
Giving it permission,
Allowing yourself to arrive a little more fully.
Feeling this breath and starting to feel the sensations in the body.
Temperature,
Movement of energy,
Pressure,
Blank space,
Without needing to fix or change or shift anything,
Just meeting what is here at a body level.
And it might feel nice to imagine gravity supporting you,
Dropping down and in.
Maybe feeling a spiral that goes down,
Down into your hips,
Down into the earth,
Connecting you back to you and back to the earth.
And taking a nice wide breath from that deeper place.
And from here,
Allowing one thing that you are truly grateful for,
One moment,
One person,
One thing in your life that you feel grateful for in this moment,
Allowing it to bubble up.
Really seeing it,
Feeling it,
Sensing it,
Dropping into the felt sense of this gratitude.
Beginning to breathe with it,
To feel gratitude in your body,
Noticing what this is like.
Perhaps leaning in,
Perhaps savoring,
Really feeling the sensations and energy of gratitude.
Feeling how you can allow this energy of gratitude to take up a little bit more space in your body.
Maybe expanding the breath,
Maybe bringing hands to your heart,
Maybe a smile to your face,
Softening anything at all that allows this energy to spread,
To flourish,
To really feel felt by you.
And taking a few moments to really receive this gratitude,
This appreciation,
To feel this energy absorb into your skin and sink into your bones,
Maybe even whispering thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
Letting yourself really embody the goodness that is here.
Taking three last rich,
Nourishing breaths into your gratitude,
Into what you are.
What you are thankful for.
And doing anything else that would allow this practice to feel complete for you today.
Maybe moving,
Maybe sounding,
Maybe opening your eyes and looking around your space,
Seeing the world from this place.
Anything at all that the body and heart are asking for.
And taking one last full,
Deep breath into life,
Into you.
This completes your gratitude practice.
