Hello and welcome.
So,
This practice is designed to support you awakening and opening to your day.
Of course,
You can use it anytime.
And I'll invite you to start seated,
And I'll also invite you to bring a little movement.
So,
Getting yourself set up and also remembering that this is your time,
Your practice.
Everything I offer is just an invitation.
So,
Start seated and just begin to find your breath.
To feel the breath.
To notice how the breath is.
And just beginning to meet it,
So without forcing it to be anything.
Just noticing how it actually wants to be breathed.
It might feel good to let out some sound.
And as you breathe,
Doing anything at all that will help you arrive here in your body.
So,
Maybe that's movement in the face.
Maybe that's letting out some sound.
Maybe that's dropping the attention down,
Or letting out a wiggle,
Or bringing touch to the body.
Just getting curious about how do I get here?
How do I be a body?
How do I meet myself right here,
Right now?
And I'll invite you to begin to tune in to physical sensations in the body.
So,
Temperature,
Movement,
Pressure,
Density,
Texture.
Just noticing what is here,
At the level of physical sensations.
Warmth,
Coolness,
Tightness,
Heaviness,
Sticky,
Light,
Hot,
Numb.
Physical sensations are the language of the body.
So,
Just tuning in to what is here,
Without needing it to be different,
Or trying to fix,
Or change.
Just feeling what's here at a body level.
And you're just going to start to let the body be pulled from sensation to sensation,
From area to area.
And as you do,
You're going to really drop into each place and notice what is there.
And bring breath,
Movement,
Sound,
Connecting to what is there.
So,
In this,
You are letting the body lead.
You're letting it pull you to a place of sensation and area.
And then you're meeting what is there as a body.
Making it physical.
Putting your attention there.
Bringing movement,
Breath,
Sound,
Following impulses.
Continuing to explore in this way.
It's an art form.
It takes time.
So,
Really trust your impulses,
Where your attention gets pulled in the body.
And then placing your attention there,
Bringing movement,
Breath,
Sound,
Saying yes as a body.
And each time you get pulled out to somewhere else or something else,
Take a deep breath,
Let out some sound,
And drop back down into the body.
Being a body.
Being physical.
Being here.
Take another minute here.
Letting your attention go from area to area.
Following impulses.
Trusting this natural unfolding.
As if you're following breadcrumbs.
Just letting the body lead.
And if this is feeling really good,
You can pause the recording and keep going.
But if you're noticing it's starting to feel like it's coming to completion,
Take the next few breaths to find how the body wants to close this part of the practice.
You can end in whatever position you want to.
And I'll invite you to bring your attention back to those sensations.
To what you notice now in the body.
The qualities of energy.
The sensations.
What it feels like to be you now.
Then you're going to intentionally choose one thing you want to take with you into your day.
Perhaps it's a quality of energy that you're noticing right now,
Or a sensation,
Or something that arose in the practice,
Or something that arises now.
But just choosing something to walk with.
To put your attention on.
To take into your day.
Into your life.
And taking a few last sweet breaths into your body.
Maybe bringing touch there.
Just feeling what it's like to be alive.
To get to breathe.
To receive life on each inhale.
And to contribute.
To give.
To offer you on each exhale.
Breathing into your body.
Into your day.
Into your life.
And this completes your practice for today.
