Hello and welcome to your gratitude practice.
I'll invite you to find a comfortable place to sit,
Something that really allows you to be supported and relaxed,
But also alive and present and awake.
And begin to find that breath to let the body breathe however it wants to.
Simply letting the body show you,
It might feel good to let out sound or to sigh,
Maybe even to move the body a little,
Letting the face soften,
Rocking on your sit bones.
Just starting to let the body lead you into this practice.
Feeling the breath,
Feeling yourself slowly arriving,
What if there was no rush,
What if you didn't have to get here and you could just let the body lead,
Let it arrive in its own time,
In its own way,
Supporting it with your breath,
With your movement,
With your awareness,
With your sound.
Just allowing gravity to support you in dropping down and in,
Imagining a downward spiral,
Down into your belly,
Into your hips,
Into the earth.
Letting the sand settle,
Letting yourself fully arrive back to the earth,
Back to you.
Feeling a nice nourishing breath from this deeper place.
And starting to bring into your mind one thing that you are truly grateful for in this moment.
It could be a person,
A place,
A moment,
A thing,
A being,
Anything at all.
Allowing it to drop down into your heart,
Into your body.
Finally allowing yourself to attune to it,
To feel it,
To see it,
To drop into the felt sense.
Starting to breathe into this gratitude,
Starting to let it take up maybe a little bit more space in your heart,
In your body.
And noticing what the felt sense is,
What the sensations,
The energy of gratitude is like in your body.
And seeing if perhaps you can encourage it to spread.
Maybe softening a part of you,
Maybe taking a deeper breath,
Maybe surrendering.
Seeing if this aliveness,
This energy of gratitude can fill you up.
Starting to breathe,
To savor this exquisite pleasure of getting to be alive here on this earth in this moment.
Allowing images of those that you love,
Moments that you cherish,
Beautiful places.
Feeling all the gratitudes that desire to show up and be felt by you to arrive.
Feeling how on the inhale you're really receiving these gratitudes,
Receiving the gift of life.
And on the exhale you're softening,
You're savoring,
And you're giving your contribution back to life.
Allowing this breath to bring even more gratitude,
More goodness into your system.
Maybe bringing a smile to your face,
Maybe bringing hands to your body,
And really thanking,
Thanking life,
Thanking this thing that you're grateful for,
Maybe even whispering thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
Bringing one last full,
Rich,
Deep,
Nourishing breath into all of it.
And doing anything else that would allow this practice to feel complete for you.
Maybe moving,
Maybe opening your eyes and feeling the space around you looking at the world from this place.
Maybe speaking loud,
Anything at all,
Letting the body once again lead you,
Show you what it needs,
What it wants.
And this completes your gratitude practice.
