Mindfulness, Meditation & Source Consciousness #2

With Debra Hall

In module 2 of this course, you will gain an in-depth insight into Mindfulness Supports. You will understand their purpose is to strengthen your Mindfulness Muscle, just like physical muscle training, so that you can build your capacity to maintain attention in present moment awareness. You will be invited to try a number of supports. These utilise the VAK - Visual, Kinaesthetic, Auditory system of how we engage with the world and learn. This approach can help to clarify why you might find some supports easier to use than others. Alternatives and adaptions are also suggested to the three main supports presented in the course - The Body Scan, Listening to Sound and the Three Points Method. By the end of this module you will be confident in using Mindfulness Supports to begin building your daily mindfulness practice, and clear about which ones you prefer at this stage. If you haven’t completed module one, I strongly recommend it, as this gives you a thorough introduction to Mindfulness as an innate capacity before it became a training method.

Lesson 4

The Three Points Method, A Visual Support

In this lesson you are introduced to the three points method which is a sight based support. Because this mindfulness method is quite structured, it provides strong support. It gives the mind something tangible to do while maintaining restful awareness. It is useful if you need to keep your eyes open for any reason. For example if you have toddlers, or are in a dentist or doctor's waiting room, on a bus or train.
